I would not be surprised to see someone else in LF for the Braves in '24 and Grissom in a super util role. I doubt it's Soto, though.

So rosenthal says Soto is 100% getting traded and Hector Gomez says he is more than likely staying with the padres. Who do we believe?

Boras is his agent, which means he's going to free agency. Why would anyone give up the farm for one year? He'll get traded for an average corner outfielder and two no-name minor leaguers.

Exactly. I posted in the other chat, but he's probably going to ask for upwards of a 15 year contract given his age with plenty of opt outs like arod had. I'm not sure even 40m for 15 years or 600m total gets it done. Both Boras and the MLBPA are going to want to use this contract as the one to set a new standard.

I mean there's plenty of examples of trading a lot for one year of a really good player.
