100% but it's more like walking into a resale store and buying something at an incredible discount. Then on the way out to the parking lot, the person consigning the item walks up to you and says they mislabeled it and asks that you return it in good faith.

You say, "nah, that's between you and the seller" and you proceed to get in your car and drive off thinking, "I got one helluva deal!"

Most of us wouldn't do that. Some obviously would.

his listed age is 25 and he's a career .284/.421/.945 hitter w/ 160 bombs already
not sure how to quantify "popularity" vs expected future production but he's a young lefty slugger who is always on base and entering his prime
he'd be going from a meh market and pitcher's park to the biggest market and collector fanbase in the sport and hitting in a great park for maximizing his power potential through his prime
It's by far the biggest match made in heaven in the MLB card world and Id expect the above factors would cause a decent spike in speculation before he swings the bat in pinstripes a single time
As far as a comparison to what Judge cards sell for it's an almost impossible situation to compare with Judge being a s1 guy with RCs and autos in every Topps brand across the entire 2017 release schedule and Soto having important investment brand cards in just a very small handful of late season 2018 releases.

If not it won't be the first time I'm wrong or the last but I'd suspect an immediate bump if he's traded there and maybe a bigger one if it is accompanied by a contract extension too.

I'm not surprised some people would take advantage of a wrong listing, but I agree most would do the right thing. I've had many do the right thing when I've made mistakes....and at the same time someone once sent me the wrong t206 red cobb that was worth $10k+ more than the one i bought...i promptly returned it. The world is round my friends! Most of you know that.

What troubles me most is that someone would brag about this "good fortune" on an internet forum. Which means they have zero clue they did anything shady. I assume they were hoping to be congratulated for their keen sense of timing and good luck.
