Remember how good 2022 Update Sapphire was?

As far as i can remember, that was the last release before Fanatics boneheads took over that shipped sealed cases on orders of 10.

It was also close because it was 130 per box and on card autos.

2022 Update Sapphire was brutal for me. I opened one case and my best card was a base Julio Debut. I didn't even hit a base rookie Julio or Witt. The color was completely unremarkable... and that will still likely be a better experience then opening 2023.

Based on odds of Supers for the SS about 10,000 boxes. Yeah, Topps is going to charge some cheddar for these. Probably in the $500 range.

Default 2023 Topps Chrome Sapphire Update ?
In comparison to other Topps Chrome products it actually seems pretty decent value. They wisely are featuring all the better TC auto guys on a smaller auto checklist…again. Makes this one decent IMO and dilutes the value and staying power of TC and TCU cards id think.

BO: God, here comes Sapphire with high print runs, no content and crappy sticker autos no one wants

Topps: 3 parallels and an auto per box, only 36 autos on the checklist

BO: Yeah and its for the breakers at $500 a box

Topps: $225

BO: Garbage, so much garbage. The price per card is like more than the ROI and if you add in holiday shipping and the fact that tax forms may come out soon I can't afford maybe going over selling 200 items and having to pay without getting advice on how to charge buyers for my gas to drop off the package while getting my burrito screw fanatics its all for breakers and I can't make money.

Insta-buy if the autos weren't stickers

Average case should have 30 parallels (25 gold/orange, 5 black/red), 2 sapphire selections (1 base, 1 parallel), 12 chrome autos (6 base, 4 parallels), 1/6 chance at a sapphire selections auto

In a vacuum, the print run is fantastic (~850 base), the price is good, the auto checklist is very strong.

Unfortunately the autos are stickers and the base checklist is very weak. Basically pick 2 of 3 (price, on-card/sticker, print run), I think A&G X is the only product that hit all 3 this year.
