I know this is just kinda random, but I had some offers for a total of four cards this morning from Raf_Raf and Sportscardheaven, obviously at 50% of my asking price. I have over 13,000 cards for sale. Two of the four cards that were offered on have sold for full price since these offers came in at around 6 am CST. One was an Aaron Dobson and then one was a Joe Burrow. Not guys who are doing anything right now, so it is just really strange to me.

My experience is similar to the one below. I might send 400 cards and a few might get ready in the first month, then maybe a dozen more the next week. Usually a bigger chunk around the two month mark. Then a few here and there before a big chunk toward the end. Maybe 1% or the order actually takes the full four months. I'm not sure how or why it flows this way but it's what I've seem now for a few years.

Players being in the news can spark interest in them. I don't know about Aaron Dobson, but Joe Burrow was in the news today, not for playing, but for being a nice guy. *shrug*

Have they made any progress on allowing you to use COMC credit on epack for purchases?

All offers I have got from Raf Raf on COMC are very low ball offers. Some I have accepted and some I don't.

That is 100% my experience with him. If I price something around $0.75 for an auto, he will offer me like $.50 or so on it. It all depends on how much I have in it whether I accept. There are times that it makes sense to move it and others that it does not. I have been getting similar offers from a few other guys. They also will not move off their offer, so counters do not do any good. I am better off just rejecting. Then often they will change their offer.

He's bought a couple hundred cards from me, mostly low-end autos and relics. I always assumed he put together grab bags with a guaranteed "hit" and these were a cheap way of doing it (or something similar to that).

I don't think so. It looks like he just prices higher by a little bit and makes money off the margins. I just do not know how long he can wait on some of them. I honestly have never seen any of his cards come across as something I would buy but he has almost 6k cards for sale.

I agree that my username on COMC (and here) is pretty stupid, but I think that "mycardcollectionisbanging" might be the worst I have seen.

That penny monthly storage fee does add up on items priced at 75 cents and up. I get nailed for about $25/mo. Gotta flip stuff quick or have enough margin to cover the added expense. Chasing nickels and dimes is not for me. Those can certainly add up for volume sellers but I only average about 12 sales per day on a ~6k port with pricing generally on the lower end of others, and that figure is inflated by promos.

I understand, but I am guessing the long game of buying at 55 cents per and eventually selling for around a buck might be worth it. You are looking at almost 3 years before you losing money on it. He has been doing it for a long time, so I am guessing that it must work. I am definitely fine selling some of them to him. If I am getting them for 20 cents and then able to flip them that day to him for 55 cents I am okay with it. It just depends on whether I feel like I can flip it the same day for 75 cents if I reject or counter him. Everything sells on the site, it just depends on how it is priced and how much you have to make on it. It works on my end and it must on his end too. I know it annoys some people to get those low ball offers on those. I totally understand that.

Four months is when they guarantee it by. Anything after is discounted. They will likely start being ready to load well before then.

I have sent about ten batches in that way since starting. They usually start in one to two months and are gradual from there. Lately, the pattern has been

30%-initally, 30-60 days after the submission is received, all in a one to two day range. Make sure you always have some money on hand in your balance to cover a large upload

40% gradually 1-10 cards a day between that first load and the listed date

30% on the last two or three days before the listed date.

I send in 1000-1500 cards every 2-3 months, so it works out where I have something uploading more often than not on a given day.

managed accounts got an offer for bulk submission 10,000+ cards. Comes with $150 "grading credit"

How the heck would you even ship 10,000 cards?

10000 junk cards coming in... probably trying to get piles of bowman paper base or something. I don't even know what 10000 cards you could send in that would be easy to acquire and worth sending in.

What rate would you be paying on that submission and how long to upload? Can't imagine they're charging 50 cents to try and get that many in.

I have a few boxes that probably have somewhere around 8,000 mid range jerseys and autos that I may send in if I can find the time to go thru them.... I can easily scrounge about another 2k in cards...not sure I feel like going thru all those cards.

I am sure that I will not be shipping 10,000 cards to them, but it is an interesting proposition. The $150 grading credit is obviously a very small incentive, especially since as I read it, it would only be for those that send by Jan 19th.

It was music to my ears when I got this email!

I was actually emailing my account manager last month about whether they would consider a one time discount if I sent a bunch of stuff (that wasn't trash) and they wanted a clearer idea of potential inventory but I hadn't gotten around to organizing and responding yet.

I have a lot of soccer, WNBA, wrestling & non-sport that hasn't been submitted at all or much so this will be great for me to get some new low end stuff onto the site, let it sit for $1.50 to $2.50 and where processing cost greatly outweighs speed. Plus I can add a bunch of potential $3 to $5 cards but my monthly storage costs are starting to get outta hand.

I'll probably use Pirateship and do UPS Ground and pack in as many 550 ct boxes as I can into a large box.

I was wondering about the logistics of shipping 10K cards as well. I guess it could be shipped across multiple boxes, you'd just have to put the same paperwork into each box.

I'd almost be more tempted to just drop it off to their warehouse if they'd allow it...
