I’ve seen a high-end few cards like that. The Miguel Cabrera 2012 Bowman Chrome superfractor, for instance, is auto’d. It also has Triple Crown and MVP written on it.

In general, I think that blacks and golds will stand the test of time better than any other parallels....

playing the catch-up game is quite difficult on these, and when you do find them raw the conditions can be all over the place

Over 100 becomes an issue for me. If that happens in 2050 or so, I can live with it, but it feels like it could happen any day now.

The bigger item to consider is the sheer number of other parallels…and parallel products each with parallels of their own…some of them black.

Blacks are amazing. They are also really hard to grade, so getting a 9 feels like a win.
