Of course, you don't see all the dud boxes. I have a few I'm sitting on too and am going into it cautiously optimistic, but not at all expecting the kind of rips you see posted.

My pulls weren't all that great (Esteury Ruiz auto /25, Acuna Sapphire Selection gold /50 as notables), but this is a product that I wish I had bought more of.
Very fun rip with good potentials.

It’s just statistical variance. For Perez, there have been two Orange and zero Gold listed.

Looking again at the auto checklist it’s only 31 RC autos- about a half dozen real bums. The rest either performed well or have solid potential or both.
Then 5 star insert autos.
Yeah, stickers suck but this is one of the better products of the year for your chances of hitting a decent named autograph. Much smaller auto-kick to the junk chance per box than most.
The numbered parallels will make or break your overall ROI but a fair shot at a good rookie auto.
These would be a fun rip I bet.

Supers can’t be easy to hit, watched a 2 case break today and not a one. There were a handful of reds though. In fact it seemed more reds than blacks.

Has anyone noticed that the parallels have surface scratches this year? All the blue I have bought were nice but so far, orange, red and gold have light vertical scratches top to bottom. All different sellers with like patterns of scratches.

Yep, and the autos as well have the scratches. I sent a batch in yesterday to get graded so I will see how much it affects the grade of the card. Really annoying that Topps/Fanatics seemed to have improved the quality but just can't get rid of these scratches from chrome cards.

On grading it depends if they are print lines or actual scratches. If they are scratches it will have an impact, if it’s a print line or two they can still gem.

Average? I'd say that's better than average given the color and McClain. I just sold the base McClain no auto for 20 bucks.

I noticed similar with non-update Sapphire. Noticed this on a red and a gold. They’re really obvious if you hold them at the right angle. I sent the red to PSA for grading… wasn’t sure what to expect and it came back as an 8.

You are not alone. I bought 2 reds and a purple that looked terrible. One of the red was covered in scratches top to bottom.
