Default SWAU Holograms

Quick question: I received my first ever SWAU order back today (two custom cards) and neither was affixed with a SWAU hologram. I was under the impression that the holograms were added for free on every item? Is this not the case? Or did they just screw up?

Email them as it was an oversight on their part. Every item they get signed should come with the sticker.

Yeah that's what I thought. Thanks for confirming. It definitely seemed weird.

FYI here's the reply I got back from customer service:

"Comics and cards are omitted by default from the authentication process to accommodate grading services. We can either have the items returned for application, or provide you with a discounted letter of authenticity ($25)."

I'm likely going to return them to have the holograms affixed but I was very disappointed by this reply. The website specifically says that ALL items will have holograms affixed and, to my knowledge, never mentions exemptions for cards. This also doesn't make sense because I have seen tons of SWAU-signed cards with the holograms affixed, including some that have been graded. Very disappointing first experience working with this company, which is sad because the items themselves turned out great.

Yeah this is something I learned recently. There's an option you have to check to have a sticker. They were chill about it, paid for me to send the item back and returned it to me within a week or so.

Ok that's good to know. Didn't realize that. Thanks!

SWAU is such a POS company.

I wouldn't deal with them if they were the last signing company on Earth.

Well I've had nothing but good experiences with them so I'm sorry to hear you've had the opposite.

My JCVD trading card had the sticker affixed on the back as requested. But I also mentioned it on a sticky note attached to the item.

I also had a very good experience with them. Bought this Natalie Portman card from someone here on BO. The seller sent me an order number from SWAU.

I contacted SWAU about my concerns with purchasing the card. The person that helped me confirmed that the order number I gave them was made into a card. I sent them a scan of the card and they sent me back a photo of the card and the children's book together that the autograph was cut from. Very cool.

In addition, gave me a a SWAU on-line verification ID number as likely genuine. Person who helped said I could send them card in for a fee and it would easily pass.

Since I have all of the e-mails/photo's from SWAU, I don't think I would have a problem if I were to ever sell the card.

Anyway, wanted to thank the person who helped me (don't want to give name in case what he did was a no no) and would have to give SWAU a thumbs up from my experience.

Yeah that's very odd as like you said I've seen quite a few cards from their signings with sticker. New policy maybe?
They should update the website with the exemptions if that's the case and also did you have the card graded? If not they have no excuse to use the grading process as reason. They shouldn't just assume all cards are going to be graded so no need for authentication sticker.
