Topps redemptions - Should i request a SUB?

With everything going on with Wander Franco and Kahlil Watson, should I just take my losses and "Request Substitute Card"?

Traded to another team I believe but in terms of expectations Watson has been a complete disaster.

Ahhh! I knew of the..."disaster" sentiments, with Watson. I just figured that since he was mentioned in the same [figurative] breath as Franco, I thought there was some sort of connection, there. Gotcha'!

You can request a sub, but from what a Topps representative told me, players have 3 years to turn in their cards, so if they are still within that timeframe, they may tell you you'll have to wait. I have a Acuna auto from 2022 Topps series 1 that I'm still waiting on and even got the 2023 Topps series 1 Acuna redemption in already. I told them Acuna signs in almost every product they come out with, So what's the hold up on these cards? Did they actually think he will return them signed? They told me that he still has 2 more years to get them in...so they're not substituting those yet....IDK
