I think I finally have resolution on my September order. First, I want to say if you guys ever deal with Patrick in customer service at PSA, he is awesome. He has been great since I reached out to them several weeks ago. He actually called me this morning before they started their day to talk about my order. He said for whatever reason, my order had stalled out and was just sitting around. After they located the order, a week or two ago, no one had told him the order had a payment issue. He had to go figure out himself why it wasn't moving again. He said he was essentially handcuffed in the process and kept on pressing the other departments to get this order through. He told he would have an update for my by end of the day.

About 15 minutes ago my credit card alert went off with a charge from Collectors Universe. He was finally able to get accounting to update the payment method on their end and charge the card for the order. I received an email from Patrick several minutes later following up that the card had been charged, grades are now available, and the order is ready to ship.

Fantastic to hear.

I know PSA has made operational improvements but this absolutely should not happen.

Every distribution/warehouse that I've heard of has a process to flag late or "past due" orders. Sure, PSA is saying 45-55-65 days or whatever, but when some are getting turned around in 20 days, others in 60+ days, there really should be a mechanism to identify "last in queue" or "oldest outstanding." Orders really shouldn't just be stuck in limbo like this is an episode of Stranger Things.

Had a pretty big order to drop off at Tristar on Saturday that I entered on 1/31. Unfortunately when I went to print the slip on 2/1, the special was over and that level wasn't available.
Oh well. Subbed one express sub and two value modern subs. Seem to be moving along quickly. Express is in assembly after 3 days and the two value subs are in grading now.

Edit - 10 business day express order finished in 4 days. Just got the grades.

Thank you. Just got back into collecting with my son. What have i missed in the last 20 years? lol

Watched dozens of videos and tutorials on prep and bought some of the tools for inspection and prep. That being said i think i have a few gems in there and a couple of toss ups. All ultra modern football cards. A few that if they gem might exceed the value of the service level. So I’m anticipating an up charge hopefully. Not sure if that the right way to think about it or not.

We check the PSA app only 10-15 times a day waiting for movement. Not healthy, but also fun.

They said they would log them on Monday when they got back.
One Express 10 day order is already done and shipped.
Two value bulk orders are thru Research and are now in Grading.

In your guys' experience do larger orders typically move more slowly than smaller orders? I submitted a 26-card order in a separate shipment (a few days LATER) which is already back in hand.

It all seems to be random, whatever gets picked off the pile gets graded.

Several smaller orders typically move faster than one large monster order. 500 cards in a single sub is the most cards PSA allows isn’t it?

It is the max, yes. This was my first time submitting myself (normally use a group sub), so even though I've graded for years, this is my first time getting used to how it works personally + with more visibility.
