I bought a box, and thought it was great. Really liked the look and feel of the cards, and the variety of the things you can get. Historically I'm not a fan of OPC since to create value requires a lot of work with low $$ cards and I'm too lazy, but Bedard definitely helps to change this issue.

Watching some cases being opened, it seems like the Black Retro run slightly over 1 per box. Since they /100 x 600 players, that would yield a print run of 3000-3500 16 box hobby cases. Is that accurate? Much lower than I would have expected given how much flagship is printed.

That seems about right. I had 26 black retro's in my case. That's about on par for the last few years.

Almost impossible to know for sure of course, but it doesn't seem like there was a print run bump this year.

Verdict: Kluke's a KOOK

OPC Rules!

Seriously though, unless someone is just using personal experience and did great OPC had outdone OPC P the last few years, and good luck on this year's, I'll wait for the hits. I got a Jack Ahcan auto last year, a 26 year old rookie in the AHL, Fire

Went through my box again. Just not really good. Got a Cooley so that was neat. The “hit” was a puzzle card.

Thanks! Such a fun product to rip, most boxes feel over when you hit an auto or big insert, opc just seems like it usually* hits and hits and hits until the last pack.

I used to really love OPCP but after about 2020 it really got watered down with holdover autos of career AHLers.

100%, used to be a great product and more affordable now it's neither.

Goldy I'd love to see your break or at least hear what you go instead of you just deeming it "wasn't really good". All the breaks I've seen on this board so far have been decent, are people deeming these failures automatically if you don't hit Bedard?

I remember breaking jumbo 14-15 boxes for 100Cad, that was a solid value.

Imagine that card not team canada... what a shame that they did that. From their perspective - I get it. Protect the platinum actual. But darn.

After a success with a box, I opened a case of OPC. It was a lot of fun, and I recognize that I did far better than the norm

The better vets:

The higher end rookies:

Then these fair to middling cards:

Back in my day...

Pulled a Premier Bedard from 3 jumbo retail packs at Target, went back the next day and bought the last 4 that were left, pulled his base RC.

Fat packs seem kinda nice, if you're not looking for the ultra rare stuff that you arent going to hit anyway.
