So did everyone who bought the Topps Now autos in the summer.

I collect memorabilia along with cards, so I figured instead of spending 2 grand or so on a signed card, I'd spend a fraction of that and pick up this

Was thinking the same. Saw one in the shop yesterday from fanatics. A nice pickup!!

I dunno, even a 2023-24 Prizm green shimmer 1/5 (eBay: 1 bid $40,000) wouldn't buy you two cases of Prizm FOTL.

Which, assuming you didn't hit same or better (and were willing to chip in an extra $4k to purchase boxes in first place) would net you around $3-6k in return value.

Hobby at the breaker end is totally wack and only exists because, for a $300 single case PYC, you have lottery odds of hitting such. But $40k minus eBay fees is not a $5 million Powerball jackpot.

Ok so i don’t want to read 30 pages in this thread but if you’re not collecting wemby, the obvious choice is to sell his cards NOW right? Especially his rarer prizm parallels? Prices are already Luka-esque and he’d have to do something amazing for his prices to climb.

I think this is the best of his Topps autos so far:

- Draft one was #/199.

- The 1000th Point one was numbered like this one (#/99 or less), but it's a generic achievement.

- This one is unique since he's the youngest player with a 5x5 (and it's only be done 22 times in history).

5x5 is a cool accomplishment but a lot of ppl don't even know what that means.

I'd rather wait until he wins ROY or is all All-Rookie team. I'm surprised they didn't do anything for ASW.

Also surprised they're still available on the website. Maybe the $2000 fatigue is already setting in.

Surpassed because I followed Luka from his rookie year all the way to the crash. I own a 2018-19 Prizm Doncic Green Pulsar #/25, it sold raw in Dec 2018 sold $1,000, he played around 15 games. Wemba last Green Pulsar raw sold for $8,000 even with inflation it is still higher than Doncic. If money wasn't tight back then I would of owned his Pink Pulsar #/42 PSA 10 Gem Mint for $750. Ofc should sold mine at peak before it crumble luckily, I didn't hoard Luka, or any rookies. Whenever I had Luka, I flipped.

Most people don't want to shell out $2k for a card they won't get for 4+ months.
