I made a post about this to another member, but I will briefly repeat it here.

There are a lot of sellers who somehow set up automated systems to cross list items from Japan only sites and sellers, and post to Ebay with a margin added. There is a simple way to vet these sellers: just have a look at their list of items for sale. If they have 10,000+ items, the pictures are not of a consistent type, and they have a low number of feedback relative to the number items posted with a few negatives to neutrals in there with feedback such as "Was told item sold out, money refunded, waste of time" then they are just reposting and you should not waste your time. Items often sell out, yet the listings remain.....until someone buys the item and then gets refunded.

It is actually a sore point amongst sellers here in Japan who do not want their items cross listed and will often watermark their auctions with something like "Japan only auction, not for Ebay".

Yep and I've got another half dozen or so on the way.

I have 1 centered image variation (many seem to be OC L/R) and a base image /25 that I posted earlier in the thread.

Waiting for the MLB posting bump in a couple offseasons!

The Japanese demand is crazy. You can pick up an orange /25 Trout patch auto for <$500 but a comparable Ohtani will cost you thousands.

^ i thought about that too, but it comes down to Ohtani being THE guy at the 2023 WBC and less about it being an Ohtani versus Trout card. The role he played in that event was the clear hero-protagonist. Trout was the kind older brother that was used as a step stool to victory.

Sent some Gelof autos in that had a major scratch and some Ohtani base but nothing has been sent back yet. Do know that someone sent in an Ohtani base relic and got back a Miggy auto booklet. Crazy.
