Dang, I missed it. I would have bought at the $312-325 range. Y'all think hobby drops to $200? Looks like it's sold out on blowout. Anyone remember what the blowout pre-order price was?

Hobby will drop like it has the last few years to the $150-$175 range, I don't see anything special here to stop that trend.

Yes, $3900 a case. It is $4500 at Steel right now.

Yes, Hobby will be garbage. FOTL was different with the added additions of the guaranteed parallels to /8 or /1.

Breakers and their addict customers are the only people buying at these prices....hobby boxes aren't worth more than $60-80 each.

Manufacturers just want you to think that their umpteen color parallels are valuable, when in fact nobody cares about the majority of them.

Single-league soccer products like this are vastly inferior to all the UEFA-wide products Topps will be releasing, which contain better checklists by virtue of having all the best players.

I'll be buying a Newcastle team set and some of the Newcastle inserts which I like, all for less than the cost of a single box.....

FOTL has always had guaranteed /8 parallels. Simply its the black shimmers driving up the price.

FOTL was/is absolutely loaded. Most cases had multiple 1/1's.
Hobby is going to be rough though....

I'd bought the FOTL a couple of years back .. the issues with the /8's is the checklist is VERY long and the vast majority of autos are pretty "meh". I think my base /8 was Marc Cucurella, and the auto was an Everton depth guy but I can't recall who offhand.

Yeah FOTL is loaded indeed. Seems like 4+ 1/1s per case. Must be less of this than predicted.

Watching some standard Hobby case breaks this afternoon and I'd be genuinely gutted if I paid full price for a case or single boxes of this stuff. Should be $65 a box.

Prizm base is so god damn ugly, it should be outlawed. Criminal.

Agree on the price, but actually like the design.....has a little more oomph than the designs from the last few years of Prizm.

the parallels are fine (I guess, way too many of them) and the design is okay... it's just the base looks so cheap and bad. Just really dull, and has the appeal of a pile of cigarette ash.

How much of this is being opened in China???

There are Chinese sellers out there with 50+ different Groovy inserts, which are supposed to be case hits.

Are there Chinese buyers opening that much product?

Or are they counterfeiting some of the big-name Groovy & Kaboom cards?

Friend bought a case of blaster. One of the most suicidal missions I have seen in my life.

China probably opens more football products (apart from MLS and some euro exclusives) than anywhere else, for at least the last year. It's a running joke now that whenever a new product comes out a Chinese breaker will pull the biggest hit the day before the official release date.

i had no idea it was all retail only prizms inside similar to select basketball where its all blue cards.

it was awful i'd rather have a box of normal base with shot at more parallels

Saw a few blasters at Walmart and passed on them. Sounds like a good call. The hits on those are just so few and far between, especially at today’s $30-35 price. World Cup blasters were brutal too.

+1 to retail blasters being horrendous: 6 blasters resulted in 2 numbered to 140 cards and a mix of orange or silver parallels. The case appeared to be Man City focused. Fortunate to hit some PC cards but as far as value recovery it seems like a bad product to have expectations with.
