I’d love to be able to ask in November how it feels to be an 8 year loser but I know you’re older than that.

Thankfully, this is a non-candy throwing parade.

They do however for some unknown use of power allow most of the sidewalk to be taken up by chairs that businesses sell to people to sit in to watch the parade. Id like to see the legality of that. It does make it very hard to get a spot along the parade route to get good video and photos. Lots of drunk people there too so they don't care about walking in front of your video.

Yeah, no. I'm going to miss my granddaughter's birthday too for a parade that I go to every year. My wife will conveniently only be helping by watching our granddaughter instead of doing any actual moving like she would like me to do. It doesn't matter that I've been limping for 6 months due to my advanced arthritis.

People pay to watch a parade?

I never pick up any of the candy at those parades unless my Son is with me and then I give it to him.

To sit anyway. The sidewalks along the entire parade route are taken up by chairs with phone number on them that you have to call to pay to sit in them to watch the parade. It's the wildest thing I've ever seen.

It was a 33 year old female and her 9 year old daughter and 4 year old son. Shot at a park.

We are going to buy the Jetta today. Hope my husband really loves it. I get so anxious over big purchases.

At least I'm not like one of my friends from PA who blew off his sister's wedding to go to a parade.

And he loves free food.

That is insane to me. So these "businesses" set up chair way before the parade time, then people actually call the "business" and then pay to sit in the chairs?

What is in the parade that people are that excited to see it?

Agreed, sidewalks are public property. I’d move a chair and put my own down.

Home Slice is missing his Granddaughter's Birthday and people pay to watch it.

I'm guessing it's a nudie parade.

Sidewalks belong to the city (at least here) and police officers are empowered to do things like trespass people from areas or whatever.
Still, even if the "business" has a permit, like a backdoor thing to somebody's cousin, I'd still think you could just move their chair and put yours down. The worst that could happen would be a cop sides with them and you just have to leave.

The Pride Parade is a pretty big deal around here (Miami) but that's pretty much it. I think it usually draws around 100,000.
