Default How will history remember O.J.?

OJ had a successful college career piling up over 1,700 yards by the end of his last year in school. He won some awards, garnered accolades, and was a consensus 1st rounder when he entered the draft. He was in fact drafted in the first round by a team in need of his skill set. Played for only two teams during his career. Though he only appeared in the playoffs one year, he did get to look back knowing he accomplished what most players only dream about.

Here's hoping OJ Howard gets picked up and continues his NFL career.

Fun fact: Back in 2017 I announced that we were pregnant during our family’s fantasy rookie draft. Then I turned around and drafted OJ Howard with my 1st round pick.

One of those picks worked out a lot better for me.

So I assume you named the kid OJ.

There is not but one way to remember him and it's not good. If someone chooses to remember a football player over a double murder then have at it.

Double murder, armed robbery, kidnapping.

The slow speed chase...I mean who does that?

The fact that he played football a zillion years ago is dwarfed by the second half of his life.

Anyone that remembers what he did is called a "boomer" now by those that have no idea what he was accused of.

Just one more reason to stop worrying about climate change, if you ask me.
That's not a boomer's problem.

OJ Howard would never do those things! I do agree 2022 feels like a zillion years ago.

In 1994, OJ was arrested for double homicide. The NFL went forward with its plans to honor him on their 75th anniversary team later that year.

After being found guilty of those murders in a civil court in 1997 as well as being convicted for kidnapping, assault and armed robbery in 2008. OJ spent the next 10 years in prison.

And when the NFL's 100 All Time team was announced in 2019... OJ was once more on it. Seems like many choose to remember him as a football player.

If people chose to do that for his football then that is them. A murderer will always be a murderer in my eyes. I know you can be forgiven but people won't forget it.
