You guys think Lively will develop into a solid piece for them? He seems to have some nice skills

Ant is the real deal and coming into his prime. He's ready to lead the team to bigger things as long as KAT don't get in his feelings about it.

Interesting many in media calling this series over after game 1 loss on the road. How many times does that ever happen? Even heard someone on the radio today say Luka looking pudgy these days.

Either way let's see if they have a better shooting night tonight!

Interesting how you said Zion is getting fat at the same time the dude shed 25 pounds. Do you actually pay attention to anything or just stick to lazy takes?

At the time, back in January it was spot on. Everything else was spot on as well.

Imagine how good he would play if he didn't have a dad bod?

ESPN went in pretzel mode avoiding Luka's name in pregame discussion about MVP. With 2 voters on the panel. One of which left him off completely, the other saying he was the only vote for Edwards as 2nd. Put up chyron when SAS made the case for SGA and showing 30.1/5.5/6.2 (and avoided showing 33.9/9.2/9.8 during entire segment). Both did not agree with Joker winning either.

This is the media making the next stars. And voters. Just a funny segment.

ESPN playing the "did Joker deserve it?" angle.

YES, he did

The biggest hurdle Luka faces both hobby and real-life wise now is that the Boy Wonder tag has worn off. He held the distinction of Best under 25 not named Yannis or Yoker for the past half decade without much if any legitimate competition. After the emergence of 2-ways Send Da Video and SGA this year (one being the MVP runner up), that is no longer the case. And while Luka's individual stats remain otherworldly, the field is catching up in terms of potential accolades and team success. It's really anybody's best guess who takes and runs away with the torch the next decade. But it's fun to watch.

Early Saturday game 3 not great with a sore Luka and Gafford. At least it isn't a long drive.

That's true but at least we don't play Sunday afternoon. I don't think we've won a Sunday afternoon game since 1983.

Team success?

Dude made the West Finals and lost to the winners.

What more do you want from a guy that's never had a team that anyone has remotely called a title contender.

If he can get this team to the Finals, he'll be crowned.

Talking points this morning have shifted from "this will be an OKC sweep" to now saying this was the best Dallas could play and the worst OKC could play.

I think the 3 point shooting will not be as lopsided toward Dallas in any remaining games, but the idea that this is the best Dallas can offer seems off. Lively and Gafford have missed about 15 bunnies over the 2 games, Kyrie hasn't really played great, and Luka hasn't had a monster game yet either. Maybe none of them will happen but I don't think Game 2 was the ceiling of Dallas for this series.

One of the things I noticed in Game 2 is the Mavericks played their game and didnt try to match OKC's pace. If they can keep that up and Kyrie starts playing better it will be a series.

Agreed. Kyrie went 2-8 with 9 points and Dallas won by 9 on the road. At some point in the series he'll go off.

I was very encouraged what I saw. Another bounce back from a disappointing game 1, and every time it looked like OKC was primed to take the game over, Dallas responded back and like you said thats with a mediocre Kyrie and the Centers missing a ton of gimmies. Also wish the free throws were a bit better..every point counts..but at the end it was a great win and proof they have what it takes to win the series. Not saying they will but that they can
