Default 2003 Stadium Club Aaron/Mays Dual Auto. Next level!

As soon as I started watching this last week, I knew it would fetch a lot...but wow.

Don't recall a higher price for a raw multi signed baseball card (excluding Ohtani).

Like the sun though, can only glance at that screwdown for a second at a time.

Wow - nice sale!

The only ones I can think of on that level would be the 1994 Mantle/Griffey and maybe the 1992 Mantle/Musial/Yaz

Wow, very cool card! I wonder how much that would have gone for freshly pulled out of the pack back in 2003? I'd have to say less than this price, right?

It's fine, it's in a top loader inside the screwdown.

My bad...and a penny sleeve for good measure! No team bag, though?

Ouch. Who knew?

Check out the odds of pulling one of these. 1:339 hobby packs? Thought it would have been much tougher given the A+ names.

https://baseballcardpedia.nfshost.co...lub#Co-Signers

Also surprised how thin the 2003 Co-Signers checklist was. Only 2 cards. 1998-2001 had a much bigger list.

Aaron died 3 years ago, and I doubt we'll be getting any more Mays autos. I couldn't pay $6k for it, but on-card, relatively clean autos of two absolute top tier names, I don't doubt someone would.

I think they were selling for about $300-$500 back in the day.

Co signers was/is one of the best modern dual auto sets ever IMO. I really liked the old Donruss Elite Passing the Torch cards too although the double sided thing knocked them down a notch or two. 05 UD Ultimate Sigs were fantastic ones I used to have like 30+ of at one point.
What a card that is

honestly seems kind of cheap - we got all this modern crap selling for $10k+ and an iconic dual on card auto of two of the best to ever player and it barely fetches half of that

$300-$500 in 2003, which I suppose counts as pre-pandemic. So does the year 1887.

From occasionally looking at prices during 2017-2019, it was around $1,200 raw.

On card autographs of HOF’ers with desirable sets have all but dried up. Try finding a certified heritage or ginter Musial or Kaline autograph. I always wanted to pick up the 03 heritage Aaron autograph, but there was one seller who had a bunch of them and I never thought they were real. Still a beautiful card. That 2001 heritage set had 24 retired players on the autograph checklist. Only 3 of them are alive today, Mays included. It is nice to see these prices for real greats rather than all the money spent on the next Mike Trout. There is a growing list of HOF on card autographs that are only getting more rare.

The other co-signer was Kaz Ishii and Murakami. That one doesn't fetch as much as the Mays/Aaron co-signer, but it comes up for sale way more infrequently.

The Aaron auto is clean.

The one I have is when he got shaky.

Yeah, I was just responding to the question regarding how much the card was fetching out of the pack when pulled back in 2003.

It has certainly increased in price 10x today.
