Soto with a double thanks to the lazy play by Castro in center. Hopefully that's the beginning of a lot more hits for him again.

I wonder how fast his d-bag agent was on the phone with him after hearing Soto's comment?

d-bag agent, meaning gets the most money for the players we love to watch out of the multibillionaire owners who are reliant on taxpayer money?

It seems he lost big time this past off season on over-rated, older veterans and one off pitchers. He probably needs to cash in on Soto to get his reputation back. And he lost trying to replace the union leadership too.

Why is his reputation hurt if it's the fault of the players for being overrated? Snell and Bellinger were very flawed "top" free agents for any offseason. Predictions were unrealistic.

Because he's the one pushing for these big contracts knowing his clients are overrated and not worth the money. I mean let's face it, I've never heard one good thing about Boras from an owner, a fan, or an announcer; and now the players union management hates him. The only people who like him seem to be his clients who a lot of times aren't worth the money he is able to fleece out of teams. I think many of those players will begin to think differently now that it seems he can't always get the big money he says he will for them.

He only got Snell $31M a year.

it's an internal MLBPA fight between Boras and his elite (and well paid thanks to him) clients vs. the average major leaguer and the recently unionized minor leaguers. It's more nuanced than "Boras bad."

Announcers are paid by teams, or networks who are in lucrative contracts with the team. Why would a team employee or owner say something positive about the best performing agent?

Isn't his job to get his players as much money as possible? Your response is not well thought out.

If you think Blake Snell thinking he's worth a ton of money negates Boras' decades of top performance, I don't know what to tell you.

A far cry from the longer term, $200 million deal he was looking for.

So you’re letting whatever MLB trade rumors predicted, or maybe what you think Snell himself expected, override what is, as you agree, a lot of money for Snell? Why?

Just sounds like an axe to grind and you’re throwing up any reason you can think of, no matter how little you think about it beforehand

Thats because he looked at Snell’s Baseball Reference page and realized he’s not worth a huge contract like he wanted.

Currently sitting at 0-3 with a -0.7 WAR and 11.57 ERA, 12 Ks and 5 BBs. Teams were smart to stay away from this guy.
