First time ever doing just Value service level and I don’t think I’ll ever do it again. It was 4 cards, received by PSA in California on 4/17. They sent the cards to NJ and the jersey graders were totally ruthless. I’d rather pay extra and it get graded in Cali.

Yikes.

Nearly 90% of my orders are Value and never had an order get shipped to NJ. Not sure exactly what constitutes them shipping to NJ and I have graded nearly 500 cards this year already.

For those that have had a scan not change over and stayed the intake scan when grades pop, did it ever correct or did PSA say you had to get it sent back to them for another scan? I feel like I've seen others post about it, but it just happened to me for the first time today. I'm hoping it will update tonight or overnight.

How long does it normally take for grades to pop once Assembly has a green check mark?

The image did not update after the cert activated tonight. Still shows the intake scan on my orders page, and then nothing on the cert page. I submitted an image correction request, so we will see how that process goes.

Not a bad order, a couple of head scratchers, but I can't complain. 11/20 Gems. 6 Mints, half of which were cracked 8's that got a bump.

One head scratcher was I submitted two, virtually, identical copies of a BCU Sapphire Harrison base. One got a 10 and the other got an 8. I have no idea what I could have missed.

It varies for sure. Sometimes a few days, sometimes several weeks and sometimes even longer than that.

Yeah there is no rhyme or reason to it either. Doesn't depend on the type of submission either.

My Value Bulk has been sitting in this state close to 30 business days now.

Yes, it's quite frustrating to say the least.

Have two orders that have been in the assembly green check mark for 5 weeks and 3 weeks, both are now past their estimated completion date.

Then I have one order that was arrived to PSA on 4/30 and in the green assembly as of 5/17. All three orders are bulk orders too and similar type cards. It is possible that the one that made it to assembly on 5/17 sits in there for 5+ weeks as well.

All a person can do is be patient, but it is frustrating too.

Probably means they mailed it to NJ unfortunately. Where Gems go to die...

See, this is what pisses me off. Why does my Value Bulk sit between Assembly and Poppage for over 30 days buiness days when it was received before this order? I don't understand the PSA logic.

Shipped to LA, shipping back from NJ. That seems like a crazy added cost for PSA. Why not just ship it directly to NJ?

Thanks for the reply to my question everybody who did appreciate it. Definitely frustrating when you see orders that were sent after yours at the same service level pop up ahead of yours. I sent PSA a question at their IG asking because I live in Boston do my cards get shipped back to Jersey prior to getting graded and sent back to me. The answer was your orders will ship directly from the PSA facilities where they are authenticated and graded, whether that is Santa Ana pr Jersey City. Not quite sure that answered my question but regardless it was the answer I received.

Really surprised we haven’t seen grading dip into a more consistent 13-14 range for all cards.

PSA Value (not a member, so $25 per card)

6 card submission

2009 Topps Ticket to Stardom Ichiro Dual Relic
2023 TSC Julio Rodriguez Goin' Yard Auto /25
2023 TSC Julio Rodriguez Goin' Yard Orange Auto /5
2023 TSC Julio Rodriguez Goin' Yard Gold Rainbow 1/1
2024 Topps Julio Rodriguez True Photo
2023 Topps Japan Edition Julio Rodriguez 88 Topps Cherry Tree

Order mailed out via USPS: 4-8-24
Order arrived at PSA (per PSA): 4-11-24
Order prep: 4-24-24
Research and ID: 4-29-24
Grading: 5-6-24
Assembly: 5-13-24

I usually use the app, so not sure when the checkmark went green (on website), but checkmark has been green since at least 5-17).

Grades Ready:
QA Checks:
Complete:

I feel like whenever I send autos, its even slower than normal? I usually never send more than 10 cards at a time, and its been consistently 30-35 days door to door, even at the cheapest level. Figured Julio would have hit a few more HR by now, so not really any rush, but PSA seems so unnecessarily slow right now.

I wish they would get rid of the stupid checkmark for Assembly until that stage is actually completed.

So I think I have a theory why two of my orders have been in assembly for 5+ weeks. Some of the cards in both orders are a little bigger that require different holders and maybe PSA just doesn't have those in stock yet for the newer slabs. Had I known this would have been an issue I would put all the "regular" cards in one order. Never had a problem in the past but it's the only theory I have why the two orders have been in assembly for so long and well past the estimated completion date.

5 weeks?? Wow.

I’m frustrated with my small order sitting there for nearly two weeks. One of the six cards is a thicker relic card, would be frustrating if true.

Hopefully yours get completed soon, a psa rep returned my email today, stating my order had “no notes or delays” attached to it, and that while we only see the 8 stages on their tracker, he assured me there had been “recent internal movement”.

I’m sure that’s just a way to try and make people go away, because it doesn’t really explain much of anything. It’s tough to wait, when there are no standard timeframes.
