I guess this is easy to forget in the age of the sprinter/winger/forward mish mash.
I get that, and that there wasn’t much service for him. With Jude playing so high, there’s not too much of a way for Kane to get involved in the buildup. So definitely not all his fault. But Saka was pretty active in the first half and Kane never really got on the end of anything from that side. I put some amount of fault for that on the striker.

Saka only put two accurate crosses in all game, and one of them was for Bellingham!

Saka was cooking his defender the entire match, meanwhile Foden was out there posing for cameras and not contributing at all.

Croatia 1-1 Albania

Croatia now needs to beat Italy in their final match to have any chance at finishing as one of the four best 3rd place teams. Might be the end of the Modric era.....

Was 2-2 but yeah same point. Crazy finish to that one.

Musiala on 2 goals now for the tourney. Bit lucky on the deflection. Hungary have had chances but Germany look strong going forward.

If Spain beat Italy and beat Albania in final game... Croatia should qualify with a win over Italy. Needs work but it's plausible. If Italy win or draw vs Spain a third place at best finish would be guaranteed for Croatia

Absolutely gutting for Slovenia. Went from likely making the final 16 to most likely out of the tournament on the final play of the game.

Lots of drama in the tourney so far!

Trent continues in midfield for England so let the drama continue lol

All the possible 3rd place finishers will be happy about the result but this would have been Slovenias first win ever at the tournament. Man that sucks for them.

England stink. Southgate is an abomination.

My gosh they were terrible today. Lucky to get a point if they can even hold it (2 minutes left). Didn’t deserve it. I’d like a stat on how many giveaways they had today. Embarrassing performance and coaching. They play with no system or purpose. It’s a total mess out there.

I think England's players are too busy thinking about their holidays to Bali to give a #@#@#@#@.

I'm not sure there's been a worse-coached performance the whole tournament.

Group E is going to be a real toss up. I have 0 confidence Belgium will show up at all.

Bookies just made a LOT of money with Austria winning group D over France and the Netherlands.

Round of 8 probably better than the final. What a joke how the brackets have worked out.

Was telling my nephew that maybe it would have been better for Germany if they lost to the Swiss.

It's funny that the problem at the beginning was that the two favorites (France and England) were gonna end up in the same side of the bracket.

Now they are on opposite sides and looks even worse.

England game almost unwatchable. Clearly they are happy with a point here. Can’t have Trent as your scapegoat this time around either. The only good move was the very offside goal.

Agreed....it's like everyone is resting on their laurels and/or believes their press clippings. All the supposed world-class players have been virtually invisible.

Southgate needs to bring on Palmer & Gordon at some point in the 2nd half....

Didn’t get any better. Palmer did introduce a bit more spark. Gordon was too late to make a difference. Overall very drab as both teams were happy with a draw, a result of the idiotic setup for most of the third place teams to advance. We can only hope the knockout rounds will improve for England, France, Netherlands, and others. Now on to copa where maybe we can get some more entertaining football.

Side note, it’s amazing that so much time wasting can occur only for it to result in 4 minutes of stoppage time. They did this way better at the World Cup when we regularly saw 10+ minutes. I thought we were on the right track, but the diving and, more often, embellishment is now getting worse because it is incentivized by extremely short stoppage time. Awful for the game.
