Age 22:

Go look at Bryce Harper age 22 season (MVP) then age 23 season (.243 24-86)

Career progressions are not linear.

I don't have any Jrod cards but it's tempting to snag a couple now. He's started off slow his previous seasons, albeit not this slow, then got hot. Pitchers have figured out off-speed stuff is lethal but Jrod has ample time to make his own adjustments and I suspect he will to some extent.
