My project for June is to clear out most of the stuff in the Profit Box from last year. I need the space. I have a store category "2023 Inventory" that is all cards that have been sitting there for at least 11 months. This is about 850 items listed for $2200 (so a lot of $1 and $2 items). Week 7: Everything that hasn't sold goes in a box and gets auctioned off. This auction should end by the 9th or 10th of July, plenty of time to get it to someone for their quarter/dollar box for The National.

I might run a few 99¢ auctions on items that are currently listed for $3 or more.

I'll be happy if I get $500 in sales from this inventory. I'd be really happy if I can get $750. If I get $1000 I will be over the moon. I haven't been tracking meticulously, but I'd say I'm at about $125 so far.

Wanted to update this.

-I changed week 6 to 99¢ auctions on anything $4 and up.

-Since eBay doesn't count shipping as inventory but I count it as revenue, I need to adjust my goals. Instead of starting with $2200, it was more like $3000. That means I need $700 to be happy, $1000 to be really happy, and $1300 to be over the moon.

-I am currently at $400. I've got about 40 auctions running (15 with bids, totaling $25), with another 80 or so before the end of the month. I've got one bulk lot listed at 1¢ free shipping, with another one already scheduled for Sunday.

-I'm about 40% of the way through delisting. My inventory is down 242 items today, but only $950...about $650 of which was sales. My average listed item jumped from $27.27 to $30.16.

Wow just had second day in last SEVEN without a SALE. Totally unreal . I have almost 5 times the inventory as I did 3 years ago and yes ECONOMY SUCKS, people are also doing the vacation thing again, and older collectors are passing away.

People are still buying. May 2024 was my highest ($) month to date. This month is going to be close to beating last month.

My card sales are up alot this month other stuff is kind of stagnant

Anybody see an decrease/increase in sales since Ebay removed the seller names when using the search function? It hasn't been good for my sales at all.

I think maybe they have only partially rolled it out or something. On my desktop (Windows, Chrome) I no longer see the seller names on search results. But on my laptop (Mac, Chrome) I still see them.

It's some kind of test they're doing. I sure hope they change it back because it appears some seller's coupons/sales/ and even feedback aren't displaying correctly.

Here on Win laptop, no sellers name with Chrome, but with Edge the sellers name appears.

Make it make sense that my sales conversions are that high, but overall sales volume wise are down so bad. I will not be breaking $1000 this month, heck I may not break $600.

Just means a higher percentage of people who click on your listings are buying. As the number of click through go down it takes fewer who actually but to cause the numbers to rise. So you may have less of everything but rate still go up.

Say 20 people look and 3 people buy you have a conversion of 15%. If 10 look and 2 buy your conversion will be 20%

I wish they would consult with me before they do stupid crap like this. I absolutely use the seller's name when putting in bids because so often I have combined shipping with the big consignors. I will literally be bidding $4-$5 less on a ton of items if I don't know who the seller is.

I can see it on the auction page, just not in the search results. The big boys with logos (dcsports, probstein, etc) do show up, though.

For those that do ESE free shipping, do you adjust your prices when they do price hikes or wait and see?

I feel like not adjusting could get more sales vs others who charges for shipping.

Typically I do not, but considering my options this time as the change is significant compared to last (I use 2 oz)

And this brings us back to my normal complaint about 2 hikes a year eventually one day pricing us out on shipping. I mean 11 years ago you could ship FC BBl Mlr with tracking 1-4 ounces for $1.69. Its only gonna be a matter of time before ESE will be $1 for one ounce. I mean look at the 3 and a half year total increase from,

Feb 2021 0.51/0.71/0.91 to Jul 2024 0.69/0.97/1.25

Yep, over 10% for 2 oz. May have to start charging shipping or make my lowest items $2 now
