Nothing quite like people getting upset at others pooping on professional athletes.

Applicable in the Caitlin Clark thread. The defenders came out in force there.

Bronny was a garbage college player who could have chosen to earn his way to the NBA by staying in college or going overseas. Instead he chose the easy way out. I only hope he sees minutes so he can be exposed for what he is.

Bronny has had numerous opportunities to step up and stop this. He is willfully accepting the favoritism instead of shutting it down. He signed his contract and is now open for criticism.

I swear a young celebrity that plays a bit could put up Bronny numbers. How good is Bieber's fade away?

Please give him a break. He play hard yesterday and Scored 4 points! Monster stats require a good day rest next day.

Nice that Lebron talks for Bronny.

Yeah, he's not helping his kid's current image by speaking for him

This is like a bad tv movie. Towards the end we'll get the scene where Bronny finally stands up for himself and they'll hug it out at midcourt.

The prior heart condition and now a funky knee lays the groundwork for some sort of early exit or an excuse for unrealized "potential".

I don't disagree but who wouldn't.

Everyone here would have done the same thing if they were in that situation and if they say "no I would have worked harder to earn it", they're a liar

His dad is a billionaire, he doesn't have to work hard for anything.

I'm not disagreeing with that. He hit the lottery by being born. It happens.

Only an idiot would turn down a multi million dollar multi year NBA deal to "earn it" themselves

If we were all college basketball players who were projected to be fringe 2nd-round draft picks after our respective freshman years, I'd be willing to bet that a significant portion of us would bet on ourselves and choose to stay in school for another year or two to improve our draft stock. Especially when you can earn money doing it.

Late 2nd round pick with guaranteed multi million dollar deal or not getting drafted and no deal. Hmmm yea that’s a real hard decision

You’re only saying that because you’re sitting behind a keyboard and have no multi million dollar deals in front of you

Any halfway intelligent person would take it 100/100 times

This is ridiculous. You're implying this was his only chance of becoming a pro and getting a deal. Ever. You realize there are a bunch of guys who go back to school and improve their draft stock every year, right? Guys who could have been late second round picks one year, and turn into 1st round picks the next. Or even two years later.

I also find it amusing that the guaranteed million a year for three years is the important thing here for the son of an insanely rich athlete. This isn't some kid who needed to get the money when he could so he could make a better life for his family.

We’re not talking about a poor person from eastern Kentucky who currently is broke. Jordan’s kids aren’t going hungry. We all know LeBrons kids (including Bronny) are beyond set for generations. Bronny could have turned the deal down and *still* have a new Ferrari in his drive way.

Not to mention, he was already valued in the millions for his NIL deals.

I will reiterate.

Only an idiot would turn down free money.

All of you can opine on it from behind the keyboard because you’ve never had free money in front of you in this way.

Anybody who even mildly understands basketball could see that Bronny is not an NBA caliber player. Literally the worst college player to ever get drafted

But yea he might have played himself into the 2nd round and then got a 2 way min deal worth 400k

Y’all crack me up on these boards
