Interesting piece. Are the brown marks along the wrapper seams reseal attempts?

I don't know what those marks are. Yours is a good guess.

PSA order just popped. This Aaron was graded perfectly IMO. The yellow print spots on his neck may bother me down the line and I will probably upgrade. $75 off of COMC, so I did ok I think. The rest of my order was graded harshly. I will be looking at PSA 5/6's for vintage graded recently. They are being harsh on some cards right now.

Nice Aaron disco. I agree about how PSA is grading vintage lately. I have another raw pile growing but am now considering leaving raw until anecdotal reports improve. I would consider SGC as well

Wrappers can be cool. I have 2 Goudey wrappers and used my worst one to make a pack for display with a real Goudey card in it. It. Was trippy to start folding the wrapper around the card and getting a legit visual how the packs looked when kids bought them back in the day.

First vintage football cards I've picked up. Baugh has a small hairline crease that doesn't go through to the back of the card. I wasn't tremendously interested in that one, as I don't collect creased cards. But I got it at such a great price, I just had to pick it up. Thanks for the look.

Went back to the same card store today since I didn't have much time yesterday. Was mainly looking for some cards to send to SGC to grade. Well, I found one. How about a Banks RC? Lower grade of course, but that's all I can afford. Will be going to SGC on Monday along with some other odds and ends like the Baugh from above. If it grades above a 1 or 2, I'll be surprised. But I'll be happy.

And by the way, my LCS just bought a huge collection. They were frantically pricing it all as they're leaving for Nationals on Monday. So they need to get finished before that. Some of the cards they had on display: Clemente RC, Koufax RC, Aaron RC, Maris RC, Brooks RC, Fra4nk RC, Gibson RC, a lot of other HOFer RCs (Morgan, Palmer, Carlton, Ryan, etc.). And lots of key singles that aren't RCs with the biggest being a 2nd year 1952 Topps Mays, several Clemente, Koufax, Williams, Aaron, Mantle. I was very, very jealous of the collection they bought.

I did manage to snag a Banks RC though that was in my price range.

Me too. I'm breaking into them now that I'm wrapping up my 56 Topps set. Please don't bid on any that are on my watchlist.

Both great cards, Scott!

Haha, I'll try not to. I think the only others I'm looking for is Kaline and the other Ted Williams, really bright orange one.

This would have been cool to add, for the blur. But it sold for $411!

People are so fixated on centering, corners, and card condition that they don't even look at the image of the card. It also shows you how insane some Greg Morris collectors are.
