Quick, probably noob question:

How are sellers selling > $100 cards with what looks to be non-elite tier scans (not higher def scan with the black background). I’m seeing $300, $500 etc priced cards with regular white background scans. Is there a way to sell cards that expensive without being in the elite tier? Is it because they are from epack?

Purchased on site for over $100 or ePack and listed for over $100(they paid the $2). You can send in cards at the cheaper level and then list for over $100 as well, but again, you pay the $2. Sadly, even if you buy something over $100 and want that scan, even though the person before you paid the $2...you have to pay $2 more to get it.

Theyll charge you $2 to price over $100 but wont scan as elite unless you reprocess as elite and pay the $2. Youll also have to wait a few more days.

Oh ok gotcha, thanks for the replies. I was under the impression it could only be priced >100 reprocessing as elite. Didn’t realize you could pay the $2 for the high price without it being reprocessed.

Made some purchases for the first time in years, I am planning to have everything shipped, have economy shipping orders really been running 6-8 weeks out? Its saying Sept 3rd for the $4.99 economy compared to $20.49 for the rushed July 29th. Just curious if they have been realistic with their shipping lately…from my past experience they always overpromise and underdeliver with timelines

I would expect economy to have an actual shipped out date closer to 1 month give or take a few days. My last order was requested 5/24 and shipped 6/26, and I think that's pretty typical from what others on here have been getting recently iirc.

They've actually been shipping ahead of schedule recently, but the estimates are still about 2 months.

Recently requested a shipment and there were 360,000 cards ahead at the time. 1 week later and it's already down to 206,000. Pretty good for COMC

Correction Requests seem to be delayed a bit right now. Requested a few simple ones on the 18th and still not completed.

And just had an Elite submission originally marked as received on 7/17, get remarked as "received" today (7/22) with a new processing due date of 8/5. Out of many submissions, never experienced that happen before. Maybe they are buffering in some more processing time due to the National happening soon. Strange...

Two recent expedited shipments:

requested 7/11/24 - shipped 7/16 and arrived 7/22/24

by chance, had 30 cards that popped and were ready to price, but I needed them back ASAP for another deal. So I expedited them back to me.

requested 7/15 - shipped 7/17 - arrived 7/23

Good stuff. Expedited is the way to go with the cards of much value or that you need sooner than later. Ship the fluff via economy. Both options are fantastic compared to the alternatives out there.

Is it possible to make an offer on a high-end card without having money tied up in comc?

If the seller rejects the offer then I suddenly have a lot of money on comc that I can't get back without paying fees.

It's been years since I've done this, but I believe it's still an option you can read about if you navigate to it. If you don't spend any of your deposit in x days, you can have the payment reversed for no fee.

You have to load money on COMC to make an offer on single cards; only port sales allow for pre-offers.
Now, you can offer $1 on a card of any value to see if the seller is even taking offers, as it will show you the lowest a seller will consider (absolute minimum of 50% off original list price, but I've seen sellers list discount maximums of 2% before). So I'd recommend starting with that.

But yes, if you load a bunch of money on COMC to make an offer, if you don't spend it within 30 days they'll reverse the transaction for no fee; I expect you'd also get your state tax back, but verify that with COMC at staff@comc.com before you go this route.

My last one was requested on July 7th and shipped on July 19th. I was not expecting anything for at least another month. It was about 80 cards. If they are moving that quickly, I might look at some of my cards again and get some shipped.

I had a lot of 1,600 received on last day of promo and nothing has been processed yet.

Processing has been all over the place recently. I have a lot of almost 300 received on 5/23 that just started to have cards pop within the past couple of days. Then I have another one about that same size they received 6/7 and haven't touched at all. On the other hand, I have a lot of 500+ that was received 7/11 and have already had 20+ uploaded over the past week or so.

Well, it happened. Sold a 1st Bowman Chrome William Contreras Auto for $2. Why? Because they misidentified it. I just cannot babysit them on every single card I send in. It's the whole reason I send them in to begin with.
