Maybe not unanimously (unless he wins the Triple Crown) but he's definitely the front-runner currently.

What are people's opinions about Ohtani's 83 design base rookie cards? Worth collecting? What's the ceiling on them?

Heritage 600 black PSA 10 goes for 2,999 and 2,860 (different copies) and then a PSA 9 goes for 861 tonight (last sale 1,750 in 8/23). I'm at a loss as to how people are still sleeping on deals..

I saw that..but saw the seller's feedback and he has some negs of not sending the card if he doesnt like the price his auctions end..he doesn't send. Might have scared some off
