Saw the tweet a little late but the add to cart buttons weren’t working for the /10 and /25. Bummed, really would have liked this one for the PC.

It's only available on the Topps UK site. It's not on Germany, Spain or France either.

Topps UK are a bit lazy with the tweets / social updates, the cards were on the site well before the 2pm tweet, first mention I saw from someone was 1.44pm. The Juventus team set was available last week but the tweets only came out yesterday.

I tried but had the same problem. The /5 and /1 were sold out but the /10 and /25 seemed to be available, except I got an "error" message everytime I tried to add it to my cart.

The auto list isn't very impressive.. Probably going to stand with only a box of this and see if Vol 2 is better.

I know this isn’t the place to post this but I figured since this was a Women’s Soccer Card thread I try it out. I am downsizing a lot and have a bunch of Parkside 2021 Volume 1 and 2 that I am looking to sell. Roughly 600 Volume 1 and 300 Volume 2 with 39 Vintage cards also. I have sold the Rodmans, Smiths etc but have some Carli Lloyd’s, Rachel Daly, Crystal Dunn, Lynn Williams and Ali Krieger included in Vol 1 and a Rose Lavelle and Moultrie that some how survived my last sale. Do you think this would be worthwhile posting here as a lot. Just didn’t know the interest level there would be. Thanks for any input!

The 2024 NWSL Collection Vol. 1 Hobby Box contains 20 packs, each with eight cards. Every box has two Signature Series cards, on average.

These have been arriving the last couple of days, but Topps being Topps there is at least one mix-up. The purple /25 has become a black /25, and the black /10 has become a purple /10. I have also heard of one person who ordered the rainbow /5 but received a purple /10.

Man, as much as I like the NWSL, I am starting to think the league needs shutdown and investigated.. Seems like there are several issues with it and the way it's being run.

San Diego Wave is the latest team where several employees have come out and said they were abused and one even said she had to be put on suicide watch after the way she was treated.

Definitely keeping an eye out for Lynn cards, but I decided not to buy hobby boxes from Parkside this year. Of course I've now picked up her harder-to-find inserts and still need the base, B&W and foil.

Glad she's included in the 2024 ONOT - I wasn't sure when she was named an alternate originally.

I've also given up completely on Parkside. Too many inserts. Bad qc. Just not a fan anymore. Focused more on UWCL stuff and Panini. The glut of folks that started posting here due to 21 Parkside have also likely moved on since it's generally tough to sell anything now. Prior to that, this was always kind of drips and drabs thread.

I will say I'm interested in what the Topps Chrome Olympic cards look like. Won't buy a box to end up with archery autos/relics, but I'll be picking up singles if they look nice.

In case you were building off my comment, I'll clarify that I haven't given up on Parkside - just decided to direct my funds elsewhere instead of trying to pick up multiple boxes of everything they put out to hit Lynn cards (there weren't many in 2024 v.1 anyway) and have a ton of singles sitting around, cluttering up the space. I never ended up finishing the 2023 base set, so I'm not going to start on 2024.

Sorry didn't mean to imply anything. Mine was just a general give up on parkside. I know one of the other large contributors to this thread has stopped buying them too. For the most part, card qc is better, but collation is not. You see people ripping boxes and getting multiple of the case hits etc. Meanwhile I literally got dupes of the inserts in my box last year. Coupled with the same excuses for shipping delays all the time, I just stopped buying. Not a big deal, just not worth the money to me. I'll pick up the odd red star here and there and still try to trade away all my old stuff for new red stars instead of buying.

I also think it comes down to there not being a whole lot of choices available. Plus, not very many all-women products. The overall value still doesn't come close to what men's soccer sells for. Overall, prices are down across the board and 99.9% of people knew the bottom was going to fall out. Collectors of women's cards are still very few, compared to men's and I feel a lot of us thought that would explode and it never did.

I haven't bought any women's products in a couple of years and have on multiple occasions thought about selling off all my 2021-22 Topps Chrome cards, including my gold set, but I haven't. Sometimes I even consider why I still collect cards, including men's cards. I have chopped my Bayern men's PC down by nearly 50% over the past year.

I have sold/given away/thrown away perhaps 2000-3000 non-base cards over the past year, and even consigned abroad and domestically.

As Mary Kondo said, if it doesn't speak to your heart, dispose of it. (or something to that effect)

One of the Topps Pack Redemption boxes selected at the National is the 22/23 UEFA Women's CL Sapphire box so you should be seeing a lot of singles soon.

Very bad picks this year for packs but then again they usually are. The other one for soccer is the 22/23 UCC Blasters and you need to buy 6 of them to get one pack. I was actually contemplating getting some if it was some halfway decent releases but these are horrible imo.

100%. I have found someone that gets NWSL signatures in-person for me. And I will buy Parkside autos of interest here and there. But I won’t give them a dime directly ever again.

As for the question, I think there are a number of reasons. Hobby is down across the board. USWNT is not very shiny right now. WNBA has more attention because of their 2 rookies. Topps wildly overproduced Topps Chrome UCL last year and didn’t even have much auto/rookie selection. Topps also is too afraid to put out women’s only sets still. And I also think flippers still buy up a lot of the Topps European only releases without realizing how small the collecting crowd is. I would say for this thread specifically, I feel like the cheerleaders for Smith and Rodman have moved on. Maybe they can get back some of their hype at the Olympics.
