Yeah, that doesn't seem quite right. I'm a Premium Member (10%) off and my four Economy cards were $142.40 ($50.40 for grading, $72.00 for JSA, and $20.00 shipping). Regular pricing would be $14 ea for grading and $20 for JSA, so $34 ea.

Sounds like you just submitted the cards for general grading at that price.

Stated turnaround time: 9 working days
Marked as received: 8/7/24

This is my first try with CGC, mostly due to the fact that PSA, SGC wont grade some non-sport items for the PC, but is this how it goes with them? I'd assumed that by now, my order would've changed status

17 card Economy
Stated turnaround time: 9 working days
Marked as received: 8/12/24
Status as of 8/21/24: Received

That is normal. 7 business days based on that. I bet it speeds through.

At least there aren't any autograph grades on the labels!

Have an 11 card order for grading at the economy rate.
Cards were received 8-1
Cards checked in as received 8-8
Cards are in the scheduled for grading part of the process.

An 8 business day turn around currently at 10 days, not including the week it took to get them registered. I have more cards i want graded but i am waiting on the timeline for these cards.

Anyone try the JSA/CGC combo for card autograph authentication and grading? I wish they had an option without the card grading, but I have enough for one order that makes sense with the grading, so I'm thinking of sending it in. What have your experiences been?

Current turnaround time for bulk now says 5 days. But, my order marked as received on August 7th still says scheduled for grading. Something is amiss.

What was the turnaround time on August 7th? That is the one you need to go by. CGC does play very fast and loose with that number. I was surprised to see 5 days. I don't think it has ever been that low.

Im in the same boat. Rec'd by them on August 5th based on their stated 9 working days timeline. I'm currently still in "received." Emailed last week, no reply yet.

Send a text to (855) 472-3310. That is their text-based support service. Very responsive there in my experience.

Cards are still showing "scheduled for grading" online. However, I texted the number listed above asking about my order and was told the cards have been graded and are in queue for encapsulation and should be finishing soon.

5 business day on an economy order has to be the fastest that has been advertised by any company. I believe SGC used to advertise 5-15 day but for CGC to put 5 days, really would kill there standard or express options unless the card is valued higher than the allowable values.

After a lengthy text session, it has been explained to me:

Basically the date that your cards were received, when they are entered with the "received" status is a precursor to an "intake period" of 7-10 business days for verification of the contents. It is only after that intake period that the turnaround time clock begins and your cards move through the various stages.

So the time starts after they hit "scheduled for grading" which is after received? That would be an insane way to count days, especially since packages sit for about a week before they are opened and considered "received" by CGC.

Yeah, that is a pretty disingenuous turnaround time of 5 days. Even just adding the intake of 10 days, you are looking at two weeks instead of one. Somebody is going to think if I send them in the mail on a Friday, CGC gets them at the beginning of the week, I should have them in end by the end of the next week. In reality, it will be about a month.

I was that somebody. This is my first sub with them. When I mentioned this, they apologized and gave me a $15 credit. Overall, they were very pleasant and thorough but I really would've liked to have known about this hidden step in the process.

Interesting. Mine were checked in by CGC on 8/8 in economy as its 11 cards. They are still sitting in "scheduled for grading"

Do you remember what the advertised TAT was at the time you submitted? Just a few days ago, bulk was actually listed as faster than economy (and maybe standard if I'm remembering correctly).
