Man, this is sad. The US men's team is being thoroughly outclassed by Morocco. 3-0 at the 72 minute mark.

Glimmer of hope at beginning of the second half but been downhill from there. Last goal was so weak, defender gave up middle of the field entirely.

This team is pathetic.

At least the questionable PK won't be the decider.

I'm seeing these kinds of comments all over. There was never any doubt that the US team isn't the same class as Morocco's. Keeping this game competitive at all would have been a huge win for the US.

It was a great accomplishment to make the knockouts. Lots of developmental progress still needed.

Exactly.....anybody who thinks that this is not an expected result doesn't know much about soccer, especially U-20/U-23 level soccer.

The US were significant underdogs entering this match.

Morocco was first in their group and beat one of the favorites Argentina.

Perhaps their group was more challenging.

There's no shame in losing to Morocco.

If Hakimi were American you'd be hailing him as the greatest US player you'd ever produced. El Khannouss is a massive talent too, and there's a few kids that came through Barcelona.

US are there with a largely young MLS side with a sprinkle of fringe players from Europe and old man Zimmerman.

That's like 3 out of 10. Outside of today's game, everything that has happened recently has been an outlier.

They barely beat Argentina and were oh so close to drawing that match. Which after they lost their second group game would have put them in a tough spot.

Not going to say Morocco weren't favorites against USA I just don't think think this was a David v Goliath matchup and its worth pointing out USA had chance going into the match despite the results. There is absolutely no shame in losing to Morocco.

It was a 50/50 call. Sometimes it gets called, sometimes it doesn't. You take it when it goes your way.
