Default Blocked EBAY Buyer

Accepted an offer on Jackson Holliday Auto. Buyer never paid, and zero communication after I messaged them more than once. Bot probably as is new EBAY account with one positive review.

jakas2942

FYI for those who might encounter.

for future reference, no need to contact them at all.
let the ebay system do its job and let the process play out.

I second the above, no need to contact. What can happen is a NPB can just waste more of your time, “can you give me some extra days, I will definitely get payment sent by Friday!” etc. for it to of course not pan out. Just wait the 4 days, if buyer doesn’t pay, immediate cancel for nonpayment, block, and relist.

What happened to eBay automatically charging buyers as soon as item sells?

In user settings there is an option to require buyers to provide payment method before bidding or making an offer

Seller has to opt in for that, and many sellers have found that forcing a payment causes more serious problems than just a NPB....such as buyer damaging card after getting it to force a return. I am among the sellers who are not opting in....I'ld rather have the card in good shape to resell than have to refund and have a card I can't sell again.

Totally get this.
The only reason I reached out to them, was that I had to communicate with buyer that I had to leave town on day 3 for a night and that if they waited til then, there might be a slight delay in shipping.
