None, did hit a boost for Whittaker TKO though

Good to see you support fighters who missed weight four times, had to change a welterweight fight to middleweight, weird hill to die on but to each their own.

Yawn. He’s officially missed weight twice in 29 career fights. Big whoop. He may be not the most disciplined with his diet but he’s always in exciting fights and is a good guy by all accounts. There’s much worse guys in MMA (and all sports in general) to go on rants against while calling people clowns. Daniel Rodriguez for example who’s tested positive for steroids and is a criminal who’s done prison time.

This sections been pretty dead in general unfortunately.

Was an awesome statement win for him. Excited to see what he does next.

Patiently waiting on him to fight an actual legit grappler. He had all kinds of hell with Jan Blachowicz who I’d only put in the average grappler category.

I’m happy to see someone say that. Im feeling the same way.

I’m a big fan of his. Him stepping up always wanting to fight, knocking dudes out left and right and his charisma is aw some but I’m just imaging the same fans souring on him after a couple of bad outings vs couple legit grapplers.lol.

“Oh he’s lost it!” Like no. He hasn’t been able to grapple and that’s a big part of the sport bro.

With that said idk if there is a real grappler worth a threat. Maybe magomedov but his wrestling is kind of mid. He ain’t the other Dagestan fighters.

They really need to stop talking aspinal jones tho. I think a guy like blades would even give him trouble.

I love the fancy strikers but they’ve all succumbed to the wrestler. And that’s what he is. I’m enjoying the ride tho. Probably the best striker ever?. Technically I’d take him over an Anderson.

Alex at mw vs Anderson in his prime is a great generations what if fight.

Ankalaev dominated Blachowicz on the ground which he actually chose to take the fight down. I’m pretty sure he’d maul Pereira on the ground if he fights with the smart game plan…which he said he won’t do.

Leon Edwards is or should I say was a horrible champion. Always fought like he didn’t want to win.

Well WW just got interesting. Shame Usman has so many Ls.... I think he takes Belal but he doesn't deserve a title fight right away

Hope Shavkat gets his chance soon...

Izzy didn't want to win that. Helpless when it went to the ground... I'm fairly certain he tapped twice in that fight.

I don't think he cares about fighting anymore. Put your hands up. Gets hit and turns his back. It's amateur level stuff after showing good striking all night. He wanted to go home.

Totally agree, Izzy had no willing to finish the flight, even DP was gassed in the R4. Izzy had his moment for landing all strikes effectively, but still lost terribly by a very easy take down. He didn't try to escape and just gave up to tap.

What is the odd for winning the flight for Izzy? any suspicious?

I bet Izzy at -115. Nothing suspicious no.

I think so much of fighting is mental and I don't think he believed he could win that fight. Not sure if that's his age, lack of training this fight camp, or if he just believed DDP was a superior fighter. To me, it looked like he could have won that fight with a better game plan and he desperately wanted to tap when it went to the ground.

Lol can you imagine the buy rate for a card headlined by Merab and Belal defending their respective belts. Might have to throw that one on free TV. Dana and company probably wouldn’t have to worry about anyone illegally streaming it.

Even still he did virtually all the damage in the fight. I had him losing 48-47 by the way.

I had 49-46. He looked good in the exchanges on the feet but he never pushed forward to sell out for a finish. Merab's relentless wrestling rattled him

O'Malley looked garbage, I don't think damage is taken into account when both guys looked like they went to a spa day not a fight lol the worst part to me is hate him or love him when Connor fought, even if he was down you still felt ok he could turn this around or get a big punch, Diaz too. O'Malley and Grasso for that matter looked clueless and personally after the first round I knew both were gonna lose as you could tell neither has an answer to takedowns.

Last night also reminded me why when I was a heavy UFC nerd catching every event they aired, a lot of times I'd enjoy the fight on Fight Night a lot more than PPV's. It's like the spotlight gets to the names and the guys building up names or on prelims just got for it. Now yes obviously I know when you're a name you will be more careful but a Raul Rosas for example, barely did anything, even announcers wanted more, not wreckless swinging but even his ground work was minimal. Then had the delusion to ask for $50K lol but you have Joshua Van/Edgar Chairez who most might not know go out and go for it.

Are you serious? Merab was hurt to the body in the 5th Round, had a small chunk of flesh missing from the front of his nose, and was bleeding out of his left ear & left eye.

BTW: I’ve been rooting against O’Malley since forever as I need one of his cards for a set I’ve been trying to complete and I want the price to come down lol.
