Default 1988 Topps Mattingly's World Don Mattingly card question

Does anyone know of this card having a blank back version? I bought the card about a decade ago on ebay and was asked today if it was a fake because it had a blank back. I had never bothered to look at others over the years and at the point of purchase I had never seen one before and I was told it was authentic at the time. If anyone has any information I would appreciate it.
Thanks!

Topps Vault would have slabbed it with the Topps sticker and a serial number sticker.

Aside from being a Topps vault card it could be a error. Could be a blank front/back similar to a wrong front/back. Somtimes they slip past QC in packout or backdoored.

As mediocre as Topps' QC is now, think how bad/lazy it was in the 1980s
