Default 2023 Panini One Color Blast Questions... Big Case it Pulled

Just purchased a few boxes of 2023 Panini One from my LCS as he had just got them in and gave me a really good price on them. After pulling a Pickens Patch Auto and Bixby Patch Auto I opened the last box to see a Malik Willis Patch Auto staring at me. But, I also had a pack sitting on top which was unusual because the other 2 boxes did not have one. I opened it and was shocked to see this heavy card:

A Stroud RC Color Blast Metal SP Case Hit!

My questions; Does anyone know a value on this? I have scoured looking but have found none. I don't know if these are that rare or none have sold recently. Also, If I choose to grade, should I remove both sides of the protective covering or does that add a notation to the grade?

Thank you in advance!

Last CJ color blast went for 2500, this one probably a little bit less since it's a plate and likely won't grade well... I'd say 2000 is fair

$3-$5K is my guess.

$1500-1750 today. $2500-3000 if the Texans get off to a hot start.

Nice hit!
Plates typically grade no better than an 8 so if you sell, I agree to sell raw.

Metal is interchangeable with plate imo. It's obviously not a printing plate. That's different. Yes great hit OP!!

Amazing hit!

If you submitted for grading, I think you will want to remove the protective cover. The rare ones I’ve see with the cover seem to be docked because of it.

I guess black and white backgrounds weren't enough. Those cards do NOT grade well, you can see all the scratching on the back and there will be scratching on the front as well even with the "protective cover". I would move it ASAP before more of them are available.

Beyond everyone's metal assessments, the back looks off-center top to bottom so keep that in mind when grading.

What a hit though, it's funny before I saw this thread I was actually saying how One is expensive for cards like this not Malik Willis Patch Auto (which im sure didn't matter much after CJ) so even if the auto checklist is weak it's gonna cost as the potential for cards like this is still there.

There is a BIN for 6k and an auction with 4 days remaining already over 500 so you should be able to get your benchmark soon.

Were you shaking when the card was pulled?

Only way to stop shaking, put it on eBay for BIN/BO $99,999.99.

Keep us posted plz

Surprised the first one went for that much honestly. Metal cards don't have as big a following from what I've seen. Will be interesting to see how the auction does.

None show sold. Just that one is BIN up now for 6k and another on auction for 500+ with 4 days remaining.

Nice hit.

I think Panini could do a better job with the coating they apply on the surface. What they do cheapens the product & if these are anything like the old Topps Finest cards - better keep the coating on - I guess...

No idea if these can even be graded or not.

I think lack of autos for Stroud and even Wemby boosted prices for cards like this across the board..I'd personally rather this than one of the airbrushed jersey autos he will have from Topps, that people let slide since it says "Topps" and not "Leaf", or one of his college cards.

Keep the protective coating on the card. That card will sell for at least 5k by November if Stroud is who we think he is. The card is rare, no doubt. Be patient.
