I haven't bought any 24 TC yet. Based on the rips I've seen, that was probably a good decision.

Went on a road trip vacation with my wife through Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and eastern Nevada in July. Every town that was big enough for a Walmart, Target, or both, and had a card shop as well…the good stuff was gone from the Target and Walmarts. If the town didn’t have a card shop, the shelves were stocked like crazy.

Wow. If I went on a road trip VACATION through those states I surely would not be wasting my time stopping at every Target, Walmart and card shop . . .

Has anyone seen a mock up of the 1989 layer variations? There are redemptions posted on ebay but info seems pretty scarce, outside of them being a relatively short print. I have to say, I'm intrigued.

Finally a month and a half after release the local Wally World finally stocked 2024 Topps Chrome. There were probably 20 ish Blasters and 10 ish Monster Boxes. Grabbed 2 Blasters just because I wanted to see if I could hit a few cards for the SGC $12 special.

Looks like topps has started to contact lcs's to buy these. My lcs said he picked up a jumbo case at a discount.

The business model of the future - sell to the highest bidders (the breakers) on release, then discount when they have moved on to the next products.

2022 is the only year that had a Vet auto checklist in recent memory.

You mean the Legend autos subset? Those are a breakers delight exclusive (and were in 2023).

With prices so high, I decided to buy a single blaster. I'm guessing others are also buying less, just based on inventory at my local Target.

The one blaster approach worked, by the way: Soto Park /50, Caminero Prism, GrayRod refactor, and an Ohtani base.
