Currently Paul Skenes Rookie cards will be in this product and we could possibly see KYLE MANZARDO / COLT KEITH / WENCEEL PEREZ / JOEY LOPERFIDO and a few others if they get called up soon.
at $250 / hobby box doesnt it sound to good to be true?

Skenez Base Rookie will probably sell for $50-$75 while Manzardo-Keith could be in the $25-50 range.

By this time PSA should have a $35-50 grading level

Any thoughts on the potential of this product as well as the current price?

I think it could be one of the hottest products if not the hottest of these past years.
Ok, you got me. In for 20 cases of regular and chrome.

Ridiculous decision making.

obviously this all depends on performance going forward. I'm not sold yet.

HHN if key RC's are SP's would be a more attractive rip? Or would that turn ppl off? I know i'd be pissed, but happy if i pulled one.

The main point still remains true. Once the RC logo is used, that's it. It's 2024 and whatever products they put him in moving forward which is still quite a few. There has never been a player who got a rookie logo in Topps Now and then was held for the following year for packed-out releases. That's why you can bet your home that he will be in Update but also many other products. Ginter is often around the time you start to see the Update/HHN guys getting their first card.

Any chance James Wood will be included? or will he be held out for 2025 series 1?

Not being held out. His debut was after the cut off. He will be in Series 1.

my favorite is when you have two players traded to the same team in the same transaction but they represent two different teams in the following year's flagship release

There is one documented case of this, however, it was clearly a mistake by Topps.

2021 Topps Now card #782 from September 6th - Bryan De La Cruz got the RC Logo.

All of his 2022 Topps Products were RC Logo.

Tyler Anderson's only card with a RC logo is his 2016 Topps Now. His 'official' RCs are 2018 - none have the RC badge.

Remember when Volpe, Walker, and others were SP Rc's in regular Heritage last year and everyone lost their minds and swore they would never buy Heritage again ? Life moved on

Even if a players first official Rc is a SP there are soooooooo many other releases where they will be over printed and affordable to the common man collector. Why can't we have both in a world where not everyone is meant to have every card ever created ?

Great timing and bonus points for incorporating Wenceel Perez.

Now if you'll excuse me, off to preorder 10 cases.

The Jacksons, Skenes, Wyatt, and Keith are all pretty strong rookie headliners and I'd put 2024's top five against pretty much any product that's come out since 2018 in terms of hype and perceived potential at the time of release.

There's some Detroit fans who like Wenceel! I was naming some rookies off the top of my head at the time. He may have had a good week for fantasy that week too. Maybe that's why I listed him. Anyway, you'll be sorry when he goes 40/40 next year and wins the MVP!!

He will not be in this year as he is a call up card for Topps Now.
That means he will be a rookie card next year

When will people get over the thought that EVERYONE is being held for next year. No one is being held...but based on when you come up it may be next year.

What grift? No on is being held back. However, stuff has a printing deadline, and if the player starts too late to make the deadline....its going to push them to the next year. Its not nefarious. Look how many people claimed Holliday would be held back for next year and he has been in soo many products already.

Sales grift. They COULD get players into Update, but it will help future sales to hold players back. its the wise financial move for sure as people cant help themselves

Trout debuted on July 8th, 2011 and was in 2011 Update

Show me one person who claimed an April 10 debut Holliday would be held back until 2025.

Who are you wanting in Update that isn't going to be in it? Also what was the street date for 2011 Update? Also how much more product is released this year than was in 2011? Because that increase would mean longer productions time and in turn move the cut off date earlier.

im beginning to think you work for Fanatics haha

i would have to think about it, as far as who should be in it that wont be. i know that theyve held back a good amount of people in the past.

i guess im guilty of not giving Topps any free passes as they are here to serve us, the customer

I quoted the first post below so you can bold for me where he said Holliday would be in 2025.

I may have missed some but the list of RC's in 2024 Update should include (some potentially saved for 2025 Series 1):

Holliday
Manzardo
C. Keith
W. Perez
Loperfido
A. Martin
Bliss
Clase
Foscue
Langford
Beck
A. Pages
T. Black
Chourio
J. Jones
Skenes
C. Scott
Merrill
Pauley
V. Scott
Leiter
Y. Rodriguez
B. Brown

Some big ones here to chase and get parallels/autos of. Let me know what you guys think. Will 2024 Update be as big as 2022 Update when we had Julio and Bobby??
