I'm nit saying I love the product. But to call a product trash that is rolling out tons of $1k plus cards is absurd. Not to mention the fact you have a $1 million card in there. Interesting tidbit on my Fanatics rep. He texted me today to offer MORE Chrome basketball hobby. He had 5 boxes of it for $599.99 per box. Literally double what I initially got it from him for a week or two ago.

The product as a whole is a nice re-entry into Chrome for Basketball, but let us all be real here, the long-term value of the product is purely going to be driven by Wemby and likelihood for good value is low (I am a fan of Wemby but realistic). As long as this product does not have official licensing, it is going to remain below any licensed product in terms of "tier". A few of the rookies or vets with images that hide the logo placement is nice, but overall it will be like any Panini product in Baseball.

Panini is OK but I don't love them. BUT: You are def. right. Topps chrome is really ugly.

Any break that does not have a Wemby or LeBron auto will crash faster than post-pandemic prices. At the next show, for tables with TC to sell, ask them are they buying singles from that product!

4,000 autographs would be nothing for a baseball prospect so maybe Wemby really did sign enough that a high percentage of cases will have one and we can put any conspiracy theories to bed.

I was not selected for EQL or Fanatics drops but I ended up with 18 blasters which I'm sure I'll sell, so put me in the camp of "ugly cards but profitable" and happy to acquire any I can at actual MSRP.

If rep direct orders didn't come with a Sports Memorabilia order confirm, I'd believe this. But you still could be correct, who knows. Could be a way for them to get around this, or they have higher commission on their own 2x retail products lol.

Whatever it is, I'm not going to be the sucker to buy these at double retail directly from the company that manufactures them to find out.

People pricing these base Wembanyama refractors like they are rare.

They are 1:2 hobby packs, they are in retail SKUs and the smaller base checklist makes them easier to hit. smh
