What cards/boxes are still overpriced in the hobby?

Black Friday sales might be a good bye this year

March 2020:

• I bought a 2019 Topps Series 1 jumbo case for $414 dlvd (no silver packs).

Today:

• That case is ~$1,000+.
• Vlad Jr & Eloy mystery auto redemptions have since expired as of 12/31/2020.
• Grading base paper RCs is not profitable (and S1 CL is not good)

I was chasing the Vlad, hit an Eloy instead. I wouldnt pay anywhere close to 1k for that case now

Let's revisit this thread... After the peak of 2021, I felt baseball wax prices were gonna take a dip. Now it seems like they're just as high, if not higher. Make it make sense!

Baseball wax was always gonna increase in price. Of the top 3 sports, it was a fraction of the cost of the other 2.

While basketball and football wax has been overpriced for quite some time, baseball has also been underpriced for quite some time.

A lot of 2019-2022 wax has taken a dip, partly due to the hobby falls of Tatis/Vladdy/Robert/Jrod and a lackluster 2021 rookie card class.

2019-20 through 2022-23 basketball has softened quite a bit in fact as well.

I enjoy watching live breaks and see how bad they always make out. It’s almost always a huge loss. Soo much eaiser and cheaper just to buy singles on ebay
