If the Sabres lose again tonight, I may just pack it in and check out mentally until next season.

upper deck did special stuff for seattle and vegas first seasons. Wonder what they do for utah. I have no read yet on how hockey will do there. Obviously BYU football was big in the 80s, the majerus utah teams with andre miller and KVH did well in the late 90s, the jazz did well there with stockton and malone, they had a very successful 2002 olympics, but not clear how Utah Hockey will fare once debut hype goes down.

Add an assist to that as well. 2 points in his first nhl period. Not too shabby!

Utah very fun to watch.

Guenther still on pace for 164 goals. But no assists. Would be a crazy year end stat line.

hell of a home opener for Ullmark last night. That performance is why you go out and spend money on a Vezina winner.

utterly dominated the Kings though. I think the shot attempts like like 75-45 or something. If they play like that all year they'll be fine.

Not sure how to feel. I've been a Pens fan my entire life but now we have a team in Utah. Can I love 2 teams?

Utah is young and fast. So much fun to watch but their defense is atrocious.

Been tracking stats across rookie years, seems like the draft picks of 2022-23 are just as strong as the rookie era of 2022 which is rare as you tend to see a year to year "gap/bust rate" and a great sign teams aren't chasing the unicorn players at a high rate like the past.

For laughs in Fantasy Hockey been randomly picking mid tier players across everything and I went from a bottom tier 10th place to 3rd place. I think its funny only 47% of people have Viktor Arvidsson on their team and Blake Coleman is 52%
Maybe I spend too much time looking at small market team stats more than most.

12 goals on 40 shots allowed by Avs goaltenders ... woof

Them and the Oil sure are generous to their opponents.

Why do the Oilers suck? For some reason I had a feeling they'd lose to Chicago and Bedard would show out, but 0-3? 6-0 to the Jets and 4-1 to the Flames? Usually the only real threat to them from another Canadian team I saw was Vancouver. Happy to see the Flames 3-0 though, RIP Johnny Hockey.

Lots of parity in the East where everyone has a loss of some sort except the Bolts who have only played 1 game due to Milton related cancellations.

VGK, Jets, and Stars are really good as expected. First week awards go to Eichel (Hart), Hellebuyck (Vezina), and Stankoven (Calder). I am still skeptical on Calgary lol

Colorado has probably a bottom 5 lines 2-4 in the league right now. Seriously, go look at their lineup.

I know everyone laughed at us last year for the drop off but like Pinto gets suspended for half a season for no reason, Norris played about 5 games and any team that loses their #2 and #3 centres will struggle.

Add in that 2 of our top 4 dmen were hurt in the first month and it was a disaster start all around.
Love that we potentially have Ullmark, Zub, and Greig out injured within 3 games lol

If Ullmark is out for any signficant amount of time it's going to be grim. Forsberg has looked great in the past but he just seems to have lost a step. He's so slow in the net.
