If he’s still got juice in the tank, this is the time. Great defense, good coach.

There’s no better position there is for him to be in.

Not sure this is the time.

Oline has me worried. Fautanu, Daniels and Frazier out. Russ doesn’t have the mobility of Justin, but Justin is not seeing open WRs.

I’m feeling not optimistic about the Jets right now.

Are you more of a RW fan or Seahawks fan?

The last two years in Denver, Wilson couldn't see open WRs either!

Fields should be the QB but he can't seem to throw the deep ball/bring that team from behind. Russ gives you a better chance to win a potential shootout with Rodgers/Adams. That being said it's tough to throw Russ in there vs a tough D and gardener. Could spell trouble.

The NFL has turned into an RB by committee league. Why can’t there be a first true QB by committee?

I remember the Matt Leinart/Kurt Warner Cardinals well.

As he should be. Fields is the exact style of player that fits the Steelers methodology. He hasn't been perfect but he's sure as hell better than anything since Ben.

Fields is basically Jacoby Brissett with more turnovers.

Swap the QBs and both teams would probably be in the same spot they currently are.

Give me the guy who does high-knees up and down the aisle while teammates are trying to sleep.

I agree, he has 5 throwing TD's & 1 INT & 5 rushing TD's already, he hasn't been "spectacular" but he has been getting the job done without many mistakes.

Fields has earned the job in my book, team is 4-2 and each week he has gotten better. If you throw Russ in there and he sucks you run the risk of losing the team.

You are seeing Justin fields ceiling.

But that’s fine. Good enough for Steelers defense

You can win a lot.

I would not let Russell cook

Or he takes you to the Super Bowl throwing 2-3 tds a game. Here is the thing. This team is good and if they want to sign Wilson or Fields at the end of the season you’ve gotta look at both of them. And honestly if they are smart they use both of them. Russell Wilson although he isn’t a gazelle like Fields he has a laser arm. And he is way smarter than Fields with 12 years experience. He will be able to read defenses. Russ is a leader. Let’s give it a chance before you knock it. I get that you’re a Fields fan. He’s exciting with the ball in hand but 14/24 isn’t good enough. Let Russ do what Russ does and let’s see how it shakes out.

That depends on how “getting the job done” is defined.

There are too many open receivers not getting the ball. Some because he’s not seeing them, or some because he’s not getting it to them accurately. Against LV there were 4 badly overthrown balls early that would have changed the complexion of the game in the first half. Calvin Austin is regularly getting open and not getting the ball.

He’s played smart enough and not had many TOs. He’s moved well when the pocket collapsed. I don’t think that’s enough to stamp it “getting the job done”.

Not well enough.

Even he said to the media today he hasn’t played well enough.

Sucks to do enough to get your team to a 4-2 record and then get benched for a washed-up diva like Wilson.

Noah Lyles has a Spam cannon.

Muscle Pygmy's mobility has been reduced to a Ford Fiesta with a misfire on cylinder 3.

Pitt has a QB venn chart of breaking wheels.

Still both better than Deshaun.
