Picked up 2 Hobby Boxes. Could have picked up cases of each pretty easy.

If you don't already have stuff spoken for (including yourselves), I wouldn't mind hitting one or both of you guys up for singles to complete the base set plus the cheap inserts. My new 2" binder is thirsty for pages populated with 2024 BUC.

I am confused looking at the odds sheet. If I understand it correctly - which is a big if - it seems Treasured Talent doesn't appear in this release but only comes from the "2024 Sapphire Online Exclusive" - and 1:400 at that so we're talking less than 1 per case.

Last year was the first time Topps expanded BUC to a BUC Sapphire edition. BUCS is an offshoot but still on friendly terms with the mainstream BUC. I agree, seems like Treasured Talent will be an exclusive for that format.

A few boxes. Checklist isn't as good and too much is going to be made. You are Mr Moneybags on this with a case.

The Jeanty and Ryan Williams (because Alabama fans are frivolous spenders) will be the biggest "1st" chases I assume, along with Iamaleava and Luther Burden.

There may be some chasing their transfers in new uniform a la Judkins, Howard, Ward, Leonard, Garbiel.

Won't be like years past, but it'll still be better than anything else going at the time.

I mentioned this previously, but if Topps approaches this like they have with other players - Nico won't be a 1st. He had a card in Best U last year. There were a few players not in 2022 Chrome U, but who did have a card in 2022 Best U (Julian Fleming is 1). Fleming's first Chrome U card was 2023, and didn't have the 1st designation.

Now - will they change this due to Nico being a big name? Not sure. But the precedent has been set that if a player has a Best U card the year prior, they don't get the 1st designation.

If Nico is a 1st, he will be the top selling 1st. Jeanty and Williams will sell very well, but Tennessee fans go harder (for cards) than Alabama - and he's a QB. Jeanty and/or Williams may have some wild sales early but after a few weeks I would fully expect Nico to outsell them if he is in fact a 1st.

It's the only product I open anymore. Priced out of Bowman baseball in 2021.

Didn’t know that about Fleming. Seeing as Nico’s Best U’s don’t have the first designation, I don’t see why they couldn’t if they wanted to. Not being knowledgeable about Topps’ Bowman 1st designation in baseball, do they only do 1sts in flagship products? So if the player first appears in another line, they never have a first?

Almost like what one person said about letting these all be prospect cards then have Bowman NFL releases with the 1st being their first pro release.
