I'm still a bit miffed at a BGS 9 black I missed out on via Myslabs in the 2023 off-season when I was buying up my #700 parallels. Guy had it listed very high, I gave a very reasonable offer and he countered way high so I gave up.

Months later I noticed he sold it to someone else for what I would have paid. That's what I get for giving up on the negotiation I suppose.

Has anyone who has submitted Ohtani’s recently through PSA experienced longer than normal wait times after grading has been completed? My current 23 card submission has 11 Ohtani cards and has been stuck in Green Check Assembly for 34 days now. I’ve posted this in the PSA grading forum also without much response. I appreciate any help, thank you.

Yes, they are stopping all Ohtani orders for upcharges. Fish in a barrel.

I appreciate the response. I guess hopefully that means the cards graded fairly well. Still frustrating though

What happens if you decline an upcharge? Do they simply not holder the card, send it back to you and still charge you for the value you declared?

Honestly feels like they're holding your cards ransom if that's how it works.

Yes, that's how it works. It's pretty slimy as the upcharge "specialists" give a pretty crappy self righteous attitude when you question anything about the valuation. They also bend the logic to their advantage and will waffle between multiples. I once had a guy charge me the next tier up because the last comp was $100 over $2,500 tier. I like the PSA product, but the upcharge process isn't right.
