I'll pick up the slack a little bit!

Just pulled this tonight:

My first numbered Wolverine in quite a while.

nice, nice. I was able to complete a couple of achievements earlier today with community help.

Been trying in recent days to get folks to swap and combine digital cards. Don't let UD get away with selling digital trash!

It's also a good thing that his statement isn't true. 2 sales at auction since that low one for nearly double that.

Prices have gone down for that Wolfie because I got a lower number of that card for 1/2 price of the card what it sold for. 3 weeks ago, I traded the a nice A.Matthews and C.Bedard YGC for the Wolfie. Looking to add A.Matthews on-card auto and not selling the Wolfie for a while.

If by Wolfie you mean the Wolverine I don't know how you got it for half price when a Bedard YGC alone is like $200 still plus we don't know what you mean by nice Austin Matthews which could add another $100 or more.

IDK, was 86 cases over the weekend. Definitely will go by Thanksgiving. Seems just slow all around in epack-land

I guess I’m thinking of MM22 how it was, how fast those last 50 or 60 cases sold out (matter of hours).
True a little different here since that was only out for like 2 days and hype was huge, while this out for months.

Money is spread pretty thin in the hobby right now, so maybe it does last to the weekend or longer, but probably not much past the weekend though. The falling case rate usually accelerates towards the end.

28 cases to go. This looks like it will be gone without having any discounts.

Went ahead and completed a Blue Traxx set, singles were just going to low on comc for a /499 set. Looks like the yellow spotlight could be done for about the same price point just didnt like the yellow on most of the cards. The platinum singles were coming in under a buck for all but the big hitters, in comparison latest annual green which are also /499 the cheapest single is about 3.00.

I’m confused as to why the artist and creator autographed cards typically go for less than the non-autographed cards of similar numbered cards and of the same character. Is it because collectors view those cards as more of an autographed piece than a character piece?

Would have to know more particulars on examples, but some guesses-

-The autos may not be a true parallel set just a subset, so it’s harder to hit a particular character in the true parallels.

-Some parallels like seismic gold /10 just look cooler than a green border /10 auto

-People might be set collecting the regular parallel set but not whole auto sets.

In any case, often in marvel art cards, the primary value- almost all the value- in auto cards isn’t even the auto itself, it’s looking at that card as a parallel. Heck I like getting these artist autos but we’re talking about marvel card artist and creator autos, not like Shohei Ohtani, Michael Jordan, or Harrison Ford. In terms of value, it’s not about the auto itself.

I noticed the trend with practically all marvel auto cards, but the card I specifically follow is the Silver Surfer card, and it's comparing Surfer numbered parallel with Surfer Ron Lim auto card. The Surfer blue auto card numbered to 25 was recently sold for $88, and even if that's an outlier that I missed out on, the card was previously sold for around $150, while his cover variant cosmic parallel card numbered to 25 was recently sold for $315 (just one of multiple examples). While I understand that artists and creators are not superstars, like in the sports cards, it shouldn't detract value, but should at least add some minimal additional value, the card didn't suddenly get less attractive with auto on it.

For me, I didn't notice the platinum set till much later and I am not willing to spend that much money to open boxes of the product to chase only the silver surfer card, so I chose to buy only the silver surfer cards, but since there are so many parallels to choose from, I didn't want to try to attempt a master surfer set or anywhere close to it. Instead, I chose to focus on the surfer cards with Ron Lim auto, especially since I realized that he's the artist who drew the 1992 MU Surfer card and all the Surfer arts for the Infinity comic book series.

It's another sign of the apocalypse. Breakers/fanbois/speculators putting more emphasis on stamped numbers rather than the art or the uniqueness featured on the card. Our hobby is eating itself

Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but I finally opened my 8 boxes (6 from one inner and 2 from another) and had so much fun I want to do more.

Does anyone know of any store in Canada that may have an inner case or at least several (4? 5? 6?) Boxes available that would be willing to ship?

Looks like this stuff has mostly dried up and the very few I found were from U.S. stores/sellers so I'd like to try and avoid border problems and duties, etc.
