What is the Monopoly logo on the cards about? What is the connection or is it random?

Appreciate the response. Is there any connection? It just seems like an odd collaboration. Could there have been a Snapple edition? Did Monopoly pay for the rights?

It is a board game. An NBA version of Monopoly complete with all the pieces. The cards are more of a spinoff from the game if you just want to collect those. So no, it wasn't a branding thing per se. Definitely not a Snapple or Kraft or whatever company wanted it. Pretty sure the game itself is the main reason this collab exists.

I am pretty sure the Monopoly is a Target Exclusive, the actual board game packs/boxes seem to be pretty costly and the blasters of Monopoly are pretty fun with plenty of Wemby action!

Anyone know why the hobby boxes are dropping so much but megas went up? Makes 0 sense to me. You are never pulling a life changing card from retail. You can from hobby.

It's almost Christmas so people are buying what they can afford, it may not be life-changing but there's a chance at numbered Wemby and 10 chances at the pink ice or whatever. Demand=prices go up, likewise it's almost Christmas and people with hobby are realizing they need to buy gifts too lol nah but not everyone can hold forever so people might assume correctly this is likely the last time you can move it unless you plan on holding at minimum six months praying for a playoff run. If his 50 pointer didn't affect prices I doubt any single game following it will.

Also this isn't a shot at you but you say life-changing like every hobby has a numbered Wemby. You know you have zero shot at autos, silvers can be found in retail and of course a gold or something would be massive but it's so unlikely the price discrepancy isn't worth it just for the "potential".

Same thing happened to Upper Deck hockey with Connor Bedard, it was priced so high that people got antsy or never intended to hold and got spooked and prices came down fairly quickly. On the other hand tins=equivalent of megas but you couldn't pull any numbered at all, started to go up as parents were willing to spend that much an also in general people were willing to gamble a much smaller amount of money even if the potential was less.

There’s exactly one numbered parallel in megas. There’s a ton in hobby, and a good Wemby is likely close to if not already 6 figures. The autos usually don’t mean much in prizm. Just found it really odd.

Your odds are better buying lottery tickets, all this pulling a "life changing card" is ruining our hobby as the true collectors are priced out of Prizm hobby because of that!!!! This is not why im in this hobby..

Makes 100% sense that collectors will go for Megas, at least they can enjoy ripping some Prizm..

It’s obvious ripping wax loses most of the time. Still waiting for anyone that has a logical explanation on why megas doubled in price while hobby went down.

Two different products for two different consumers. You’re a believer in hobby, but unwilling to buy despite prices falling. That’s all that matters.

Very unusual for one to go down and the other up. I’m not buying because it’s tight around the holidays or I would. Can’t judge a product on one persons situation though.

Collectors, Sure. Still sounds like gambling and lottery scratch-offs to me.

Supply vs demand is not that difficult of a concept. Retail is more affordable and thus has a larger buyer pool. Your reasoning for not buying hobby here is irrelevant. When the price is right, you will buy.
