Gotta have rocks in your head to pay $350 for this. Theres not enough $500+ cards to justify that. You can buy a complete 1-350 set and a few nice autos and reds for $350.

Thats my only consolation this year.

Yea, I have no choice but to pass at that. If we're at $200 ($2,400 case), I'll bite the bullet on a case that I planned on spending $1,800 on and just figure I'll take an even bigger whack than before.

I'm mostly just frustrated I missed out because I'm sitting here on my computer with alerts 10 and 5 minutes before and then got distracted updating some COMC prices until 2 minutes after release

Prices are all highly speculative until we have confirmation that odds are correct (2 autos) or box is 1 auto.

If 2 autos, then these are $300 minimum.

These will be $200+ with 1 auto so $300+ for 2 autos is an absolute no-brainer.

As far as base and SP 1-350, I don't see how. Production is up and lots of people that look to break are going to build sets to sell or sell in bulk lots. The cost increase is theoretically bourne by the additional autos. Maybe.

Doubt that will affect single prices much making the boxes cost more really doesn’t matter to those buying the singles just will cause some of the limited minis (Reds and silvers) to be held hostage at high prices.

Sorry, I should've been clearer as I was strictly referring to the rarer cards (red/silver minis, autos, etc) and not base.

Yeah, I definitely expect them to be listed (and sold) at higher (not exponentially) prices than years past because sellers will want/need to recoup more than years past.

And, because such cards are relatively limited (print-run wise), sellers will have the leverage.

Maybe. But overpriced cards of this just seem to sit on ebay year after year. People think they have gold, but really just have nice cards.

Yeah, potentially for your top tier players (Griffey,Jeter,etc..) but in general I don’t think it will be much a bump for anyone else maybe a little but the price rising doesn’t inherently mean buyers for the card will want to pay anymore than they have and at that point sellers will be forced to come down or just be forced to hold the cards.

I am thinking they will level off to around 150 - 200 a box just be patient.
