Always a confrontation with that guy. I don’t have him on ignore but I do tend to scroll right on by when I see that name on a post.

Really enjoyed the Black tie symphony orchestra’s concert of Elton John songs. They started by playing Madman across the water the whole album from start to finish. Interestingly enough I never listened to that album from start to finish and it was better than I thought. The band was really talented as all members played a variety of instruments and the singer had a really good voice. Played for about 2 hours with one intermission. Our seats were center and only 4 rows back which was pretty cool as we hadn’t been that close to a stage in awhile.

Glad you two had a great night out. Now I’ll need to go back and listen to the Madman LP as I’m guessing I haven’t heard the entire thing more than a couple times at least 30 years ago. Although never a huge Elton fan, he’s always been an amazing writer(along w Bernie Taupin) and world class stage performer. As a kid I always loved Saturday Nights Alright for Fighting and Love Lies Bleeding became a favorite of mine later on.

We made s’mores, the kids made some race cars, and we walked around the stadium once. 2 1/2 hours to do it all, but time flew by. We got to go down on the field to walk around the warning track to look at the lights on the field.

When we were leaving, the kids started asking when we can all go somewhere again. They want us to take a trip to the zoo. My friend’s daughter got along with all 3 of my nieces really good. I’m sure all the kids will sleep good tonight, they were running around on the warning track, and learned that outfield walls are padded in baseball stadiums. They seemed to like bouncing off of them.

But, we didn’t get to do the ice skating or the train ride. The line for the train was way too long. They said it would be an hour wait. The ice skating was a small rink of fake ice, and it was overpriced, so we told the kids we’d all go to a really ice skating place sometime.
About as good, if not better, as could be hoped for. Sounds like if further arrangements can be made for everyone, they should be.

There are a few albums that I go back to that I never listened to the whole thing years ago and it’s like rediscovering new music. It’s not like it hasn’t been out there but there are so many songs on albums that didn’t get radio airplay that I have overlooked. My favorite Elton John album though is Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy. Most people would put goodbye yellow brick road ahead of that and I understand as it was a double album with lots of great music.

Well, only daily polls are actually coming to a formal end. There may still be polls, though less regular.

Still no details - I have no idea what FT is referring to.

I have had a pretty busy day so far. I am ready for a nap.

Grocery store trip 2 of the weekend, went to my nannys and helped my mom take down her old dining room set and put up her new one. Vacuumed her house and help rearrange some other furniture. Went out to lunch with my b-i-l, f-i-l and family to celebrate Mr JD graduating next week. Walked my friends dog. Stopped and got my f-i-l Christmas gift. Finally back home.

I remember when he used to be anti-Dominguez. I kept pounding him with all that he was doing good on the field and eventually he came around.

Either way, it's two annoying BO members going at it, so it is entertaining.

When I worked for Lockheed I need a color ink jet printer that could handle 11x17 stock.
I found one, from HP that was close to EOL. $300.

The purchase price ended up being 2100 because LMCO was contracted with HP.

So dumb

Watkins with a dunk vs #9 TCU today in the first half of a blowout. I think that loss to UCLA might have knocked the Gamecocks into a different level. Since then, they’ve won by 40, 48, 11, and 33 with 3 of the games vs ranked teams.

I am getting nervous. I paid for priority shipping for my SS gift. It should have been there on Saturday. Instead its stuck at a distribution center since Saturday.

Have fun I have all my shopping done as I only buy for my wife and son and I ordered most of their things and it has already been delivered. Might pick up a couple more things here and there but I am done for the most part.
