2024 Summer Olympics Cards from Topps?

Oh no, not that one. Way too expensive for me. It was a 1/1 though.

This is not the huge purchase I was talking about, but it is still a sweet card to add to my PC. I am still not building a black refractor set, but I have been able to pick up 12 black refractors so far.

Topps truly won the gold medal with this set. The cards are gorgeous.

You might be on to something. I also have the green and flag of her card #158, which will only leave the gold from having the full rainbow. I missed out very early on for her 1/1 of card #2 and her super auto. She's the only athlete I'm trying to collect one of everything of, but if a red or black comes along cheap of other athletes, I'll snag them as well.

I paid $50 for the Morgan black, which I thought was a great price. This is such a great set and it's hard not to collect these cards.

I found a package from Topps in my PO box a few days ago.

This was inside:



I mailed off an entry in the No Purchase Necessary sweepstakes for 2024 Topps Chrome Olympics back in July. The drawing was supposed to be on or around September 24, I believe, so it took them over a month to conduct the sweepstakes and mail out the card.

It's a base card, for anyone curious. I think it makes a neat addition to my collection.

Wow, that's really neat that you actually received a card from the sweepstakes. I wonder how many entries in total they actually receive?

I picked up a Lilly King black refractor for $15.50, $21 after S/H and tax, tonight. Some of the black refractors can be found for dirt-cheap prices.

A blaster case sold on eBay yesterday for just $405 plus shipping. I paid $799 for mine from a Blowout competitor shortly before release. There are a few sold listings in the $400-$500 range. Blowout currently has blaster cases for $749.95, so eBay is clearly the way to go.

I'm in the process of selling my Caitlin Marks superfractor auto 1/1 (received 50% of the payment today and will receive the remaining 50% tomorrow). I kept going back and forth on keeping it for the PC versus selling it, chiefly because I've never owned an athlete's "best" card (CMarks doesn't have any other Topps cards AND also won the Olympic gold medal) and started to become a fan of hers and the sport, but I couldn't pass up on the offer either.

I'll likely use the funds from the sale towards one (or more) cards that have been on my PC lists for a while. I'll share what card(s) I pick up once I decide on it/them and they're delivered.

The Jessica Long card #2 superfractor is on eBay. Does anyone know if the person is here in the forum? I submitted what I felt was a fair offer and even sent them a message but never heard back and the offer expired tonight. I would love to add the card to my PC, but not at the price they are asking.

Cardcollector2 is on social and has a brick and mortar location. Try those routes. I agree the price is too high.

Thank you. I paid $160 for her other 1/1 and even a PSA 9 isn't worth more than $200-$225 IMO.

Just wanted to follow-up but I completed the sale of my Caroline (not Caitlin) Marks superfractor auto 1/1.

I used to profits (post-fees) from the sale to pick up a PC card that's been on my list for a couple years (currently in route to the PSA vault). It popped up for a great price at the right time so I only had to pay ~$200 out of pocket for it.



Separately, I picked up a CMarks Gold Auto #/50 because I'm still a big fan of hers and I'll continue to watch some WSL events (I'll be rooting for her and Caitlin).

Boxes still holding $130-$140 but a card like this only goes for $300.

Normally PSA 8's sell for what a raw sells for. That seems like a normal price. As long as people are still buying boxes and cases at these prices, they will stay high, while individual cards continue to drop.

That card was $1500-$2000 raw at one point. That's a tremendous drop for one of the better cards in the set.
