Checklist was released today. It is indeed the familiar 4 tiers for base that all modern MM have had, so I would expect a very similar print run as MM22. All pack odds match what I have on record for MM22 for the same inserts.

Canvas Cards now have card numbers like an insert (CG-1 thru CG-10), instead of the traditional "extension" of the base set (91 through 100).

There are 20 Holofoils, 15 Mirages and as expected no Battle Spectra.

As for art breakdown:

• 90 characters in the base set
• 7 new characters in the Gallery set (4 of those appears to be re-used in Holofoil list).
• 9 new characters in the Holofoil set
• 0 new characters in the Mirage set (these appear to be fully reused base art as has been typical for modern MM Mirages)

This would be a total of at least 106 pieces of art. It could be even higher if the Canvas Gallery cards have unique art, despite the same character (like we saw in MM22).

That would be great if true, but I am wondering if we'll see another case like MM22 where the Holofoil checklist turns out to be wrong and it's primarily re-used art. It's also possible Nahuel underestimated the number of pieces he did, but I was under the impression he was saying it was around 99 pieces.

(1999 x 36) + (1499 x 27) + (1499 x 36) =166,401 inserts

This would mean 166,401 total packs. 12 packs per box = 13,867 boxes.

This looks pretty close to being accurate. Using the checklist and calculating that there are 276689 numbered cards and calculating that there is an expected 1.28 non-numbered cards per pack, therefore 1.72 numbered cards which works out to be 13388 boxes

With 2 different methods coming to a similar conclusion I think its safe to assume ~13,500 boxes

I think that's fairly similar to MM22 despite not having Battle Spectra cards.

Also - the exclusion of Venom is very disappointing

Pretty bummed about a lot of characters I collect not making the checklist. I get wanting to mix things up a bit with checklists, but Masterpieces is not the place to do it. Venom, Carnage, Dr. Doom, Colossus, Thanos, Professor X, Galactus, Silver Surfer all missing.

I do differ in that I am actually HAPPY the character I PC isn't in the set. I've chased enough. I'm ready for the break Topps having the license will give me and the chance it'll give me to catch up on older UD releases

I'm in the middle--one of my two pc characters are in this. Yay. I've just been tapped out between all the parallels starting from Platinum through Beginnings V2S2 to Metal Avengers to the two Marvel UK Chrome to Women of Marvel to Allegiance: Infinity Trilogy.

Now I have one pc character in MM24 and the other in Spidey Renditions.

Well we may not have Thanos….but we have Stepford Cuckoos I guess! sheesh.

Silver surfer with how popular he is in this hobby will be a letdown for many.

What a hobby landscape we’re in when people are hoping their PC characters are not in releases. Perhaps a clue UD should have toned down the parallels?

Outside of Premier (imo the lowest print run recurring set), this has been the case since UD made the decision to go fully serial-numbered in 2016. When everything has a xx/yy stamped on it, the math to figure out the print run becomes easy.

Now that said, there are un-stamped inserts, but again imo, those numbers are small enough to not throw off the total run figures.

Since this set is being rushed, wonder how the QA/QC is going to be?

How many parallels will have the wrong foil or missing foil? How many cards will have different characters on the front and back? How's the edges going to look? Chipping?

GTS Never took orders, it automatically allocated. And the allocations were TINY.

So no e-pack and sounds like many shops are getting allocated tiny amounts of this product. I think we have to assume that some of the larger online retailers are going to have a metric ton of this product. Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s close to double what they had for MM22.

At a certain price point it’s just better to buy singles you like with the cash. I think you made the right choice here. Yeah, you miss
out on a potential lottery ticket hit but that’s more like gambling than collecting.

1) They control the price point
2) Sets will be difficult to put together
3) No achievement extras
