Don't post my stuff often but I was a big fan of the Upper Deck Wild West set. I've loved the genre(books/movies/tv shows) ever since I can remember & of course the history.

I settled on Jesse James, as he was always one of the most interesting characters and we randomly share a birthday(9/5). Ended up making this little piece, which includes both of his base from the set, with a plate of each card as well. I was also lucky enough to nab the Glebe brothers Jesse James sketch.

For the Buffalo Bill program I was patient and nabbed the one I wanted to finish out the theme, IMO. Cowboy's & Indians, my biggest fascination with the subject of the Wild West.

Long winded as always!

Pics don't seem to be working for me, but my pickup of the year never mind the month is this - a 1of1 Patrick Troughton auto card from Topps' 2015 Doctor Who series. It's the only official Troughton auto card in the world, no other series from Topps, Rittenhouse, Strictly Ink or Cornerstone has had one. There's a William Hartnell (the first Doc) too - but it's not known to have been pulled. The thought of it in someone's sealed box......

As someone fascinated by the Wild West, this is really awesome. I enjoy seeing card displays like this and what a cool one this is. The Glebe sketch is a perfect cherry on top too. Well done!

Default Video games cards

Here's a few cards based on video games going into the PC from my most recent sub, I'll post more pickups over the next few days as it's something different to the usual stuff posted.

From two of my most favourite games of all time.

US variant Donkey Kong Country 2 card from the CardZillion set, took me 2-3 years to find a complete set including these etched 'metal' foil cards.

Those are cool Nintendo slabs! I think someone could really do a nice modern set with the Nintendo license.

I picked up this oddball, low-grade Mickey card tonight for cheap…

COMC labeled it… “1942 Saturnino Calleja Juguettes Instructivos Mickey Mouse - [Base] #5.1”

I've purchased 24 boxes of the Blue Mountain State set by Leaf this month. Will put a full breakdown in the breaks section but these are my Thad highlights

Here’s a fun baseball/nonsports card crossover card I just picked up. It’s a Good Burger Night jersey relic card from 2017 Topps Pro Debut.

There are some nice cards hidden in there and single prices for a lot of the singles are collector friendly. Your post made me do a quick look on COMC and I picked up these 2 for less than the price of 6 epacks (I.e., <$50 total). Fun stuff!

I’m not a graded person at all but like the challenge of the hunt, so a latest pet project is getting the 90s Marvel checklists in psa 10. Rules: it has to be PSA, it has to be gem mint 10, and it has to be a 90s Marvel checklist.

Unfortunately I’m looking forward at things and most of the Masterpieces will be unattainable. These are the pops of Masterpieces checklists in psa 10 I kid you not- 1992: 4, 1993: 2, 1995: 2, 1996: 4. They are very prone to damage. The 1992 is black for example. In fact an argument could be made the checklist in psa 10 is the holy grail of 1992 Masterpieces. The 1993MM checklist is also a black card and often having wonky things going on with its foil.

lol… I think you ARE a graded person! It’s okay to just give in to the inevitable. Cool challenge!

Not a card but I’ve always loved this Platt Spidey 301 homage so picked it up with some COMC credit. While I paid a tad higher ($10-20) than eBay prices, I was able to use COMC credit instead of cash which is always a good thing. My COMC sales were surprisingly strong this weekend.
