Has anyone got a confirmation email? My credit card pinged on a case but then nothing.

Kinda curious what % of people are trying to get in on this set to flip vs actually collect the set. Is this the new thing with sports coming in to make money off of? Makes me wonder about this hobby under Fanatics.

Not gonna lie, I would have flipped if the prices went nuts but I genuinely wanted to open this.

I'm just one person but the thing about this release is with the mixed IPs I am sure regardless there would be minimally a lot of singles flipping. For example I collect Star Wars, if I had gotten a few boxes I'd have opened them but would have sold any non-Star Wars cards since that's the only thing from the box I collect.

But I am sure a lot were doing it for the quick box/case flip as well.

I woulda flipped it, there are already 2 years of Disney Chrome and a Marvel Chrome set. I don't see the value lasting for this set. No one who collects Chrome Superfractors is gonna give 2 shits about the 1/1s in this set.

What was the last product like this on Topps site? Errors galore for 30+ minutes. Update Sapphire the other week everyone knew were sub $400 boxes selling for $600 and it wasn't like this.

I had 6 boxes in my cart and was checking out with Paypal and then it crashed. My credit card shows a pending payment but I know my order didn't go through. The same thing happened with me with Update Chrome Sapphire.
The cases said sold out immediately.

I can’t recall ever seeing a drop that was this messed up and I’ve seen plenty of messed up drops. I haven’t yet seen a single confirmation.

It is weird boxes aren’t shown as sold out but cases are. And I’m getting same error when adding to cart.

It used to be like this every major release for years. Albeit it was usually on the checkout page not trying to add to cart. But it stopped awhile ago. There were some we had to sit and try to get for hours where it was close to impossible.

Yeah, I remember some that were seriously screwed up with spinning wheels for hours but orders went through.

Topps has shown over the last year they don't care about selling limited products for anywhere near market value. They have shown they don't care about making products accessible to the people that actually want them and are willing to pay the most. It all goes to bots or whoever is the luckiest. Sells out immediately. If they run an EQL again it's bots and whoever is the luckiest.

If you actually wanted to buy this product from Topps you should all want auctions. You can buy as much as you want and at the prices the market determines. It probably won't be a money tree price or an immediate sell for huge profits. But at least you have a fair chance. Everyone is on equal footing. You don't have to worry about bots taking it all. You don't have to worry about buying it in less than 30 seconds. You don't have to hope to win an EQL that you have a 10-15% chance on. Auctions are best for Topps and the vast majority of buyers. Which is probably why Fanatics/Topps will never use auctions again.

Hard pass on auctions. I would rather miss out on deals that go fast over getting out spent with everyone with bigger wallets then me.

I just checked ebay, someone in the UK had a confirmed box listed for $2,500+ minutes later it showed as sold.
