I have a very similar list of players. The account bought multiple Tim Salmon, Cecil Fielder, Eric Gagne, John Smoltz, Mark Grace and Jimmy Rollins cards but also an early 90s card of Ron Darling.

Seriously, the last week this dude has been buying all my cheap baseball stuff, too. It’s crazy how much he must be buying with everyone reporting dozens of sales to him.

I had also given some thought to the Fanatics buybacks theory. The thing that caught my attention is sales of peeled 90s Topps Finest, where there's no spike in sales of unpeeled copies of the same cards. If anyone has seen a data point contradicting that, I'd be interested to know.

I have Dave Justice, Bartolo Colon, Greg Maddux, Hunter Pence, and Larry Walker to add to the checklist. We're going to see some seriously trash base cards in the set if this is Fanatics.

This could also definitely be a repack wholesaler of the "TWO HITS PER BOX" variety that you see at CVS (where a 1992 Bowman John Smoltz is a "hit").

I received a final follow-up from COMC. They said I relisted my card for sale on 12/20 on COMC, card was then cross-listed and sold almost immediately. I did not relist the card for sale (card was supposedly priced in the middle of the night) so its obvious that COMC automatically relisted the card on eBay. Of course, it's my word against theirs, but I hope this didn't happen to anyone else. I will be very, very careful with pricing going forward knowing this can happen.

It's possible that someone left a default setting on (possibly not even for one of your cards) and then processed a bunch of cards this way. If you're inclined, you could report some or all of them and see what happens. Easiest way to do this would be to scroll Inventory Manager by "recently added", look for the 45 cent handling fees, and then "Action / Request A Correction". If you write some brief inquiry and then copy it, you can paste it into the "More Details" field.

I also had 30 cards drop tonight and roughly 10 had $0.45 S&H fees and the other 20 had $0.25 S&H fees. I’m very confused by this but I’ll email them and hopefully get some type of explanation. It really makes sending in lower valued cards uneconomical.

Most likely these are 'thicker' cards. They make the S&H higher for 'some' thicker cards.

I don’t think I have ever had that happen for my submissions. It is definitely confusing.

Found one of the cards with .45 s/h. Bowman cards arent usually thicker and there is no toploader. Who knows!

Yeah, I'm super confused - the higher S&H charge is being reflected randomly on standard size, non-toploaded cards. They responded back to my email and said they are looking into it. I'll report back on whatever I find out in case it happens to anyone else!

I was just coming here to mention how a bunch of cards I've flipped over the years have been switched from 0.25 shipping to 0.45. This makes mine no longer the lowest priced one in many instances. And will make them ~10% harder to sell.

That is so strange. I'll let you know what COMC tells me. I had more cards from a submission last night go live and literally the same copy of a card had two separate shipping charges (one $0.25 and one $0.45). I have no idea what's happening here. as someone else speculated, I think most I've noticed are cards that are somewhat thicker

(also, idk why people are playing this game, but "CardCollector1977" has bought 5+ players from me not mentioned in this thread lol)

I think the thicker card theory for .45 cents goes out when a Volpe Topps Rc has a .45 cent s&h attached to it.

I can't figure the discrepancy out. I had a standard sized card (I think it was a SAGE football auto) and both copies dropped with two separate S&H charges. It makes no sense. It does make submitting lower value cards very uneconomical.

I see this more and more.
Just do not understand what is going on now days with a lot of the sellers. Guys that I have been buying from for years and now doing things like that. This is why I would like to contact a few of them.

On the few cards where my price is too low/outdated and I get a lower offer, I give the offeree a counter at the original price or a penny off and raise the price accordingly. That feels fair.
